Appropriate terms for guests at Bachelorette Party

Trinity, on March 16, 2021 at 5:51 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 14

Hello,

I will be having my bachlorette party next month with 3 BMs, and 3 guests. I want to get them some gifts, but what's the appropriate terms for non-bridesmaids so I don't offend anyone. Are these terms ok? I Do Crew, Babe, or Squad? Or do those only apply to BMs? Thank you!

I think either of those terms would be fine, as they are there to support the bride. I also have a couple girls attending mine that aren’t bridesmaids. I never thought about that.

I don't see anything wrong with Bachelorette Babes or Bachelorette Squad or something! I have been a guest (non-BM) at 2 bachelorette parties, and while I don't remember if I received any items with those specific phrases on it, I remember enjoying items with "Jane Doe's Bachelorette - City, State 2017" or "To Have and to Hold (Your Hair Back)" and stuff like that. The only thing about "I Do Crew" is that the non-BM guests won't be standing by you as you say "I do," but perhaps I'm overthinking that one.

All of those options sound fine in my opinion!

Those awful terms only apply to Bridesmaids or MOH, and then only on Reality TV , we sites or other sales people. The collective term for all the females would be "women" or "friends", not something out of a cheesy advertizer's mouth.

I also have two girls who aren't in my bridal party who are attending my bachelorette trip, and I think all of those options would be perfect and totally inoffensive!

Yup. But read through back threads, about bach and bride to attendants gifts, from those who have been there before. There are some clever, some bawdy, some memorable things people keep. But put on a term like bride's squad or other label straight from advertising, and a huge percentage throw it away, give it to Goodwill, or cut it up for rags. And what is the point of that, if it does not please people going by?

I would personally go for 'Babe' on anything that will have the name on it! That way it's not 100% wedding themed so they can use the item long after the party and wedding are over!!

I went to my FH's sister's bachelorette a few years ago and I wasn't in her wedding, and we got things that said Bride Squad on them. I didn't take any offense to getting it.

Yes, I agree. I actually make them myself, it's like a sticker so they can peel it off if they don't like it after the party. Thank you All!
