Dedicated April 2021

April 3rd, 2021

Josie, on September 29, 2020 at 1:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

Hey all! Is there anyone out there that shares the same date as us? I am a little worried about COVID and how it might affect the day. Anyone else out there feel the same? If you do have the same date, how are you feeling about it all? Any thoughts are much appreciated. I hope whoever is reading this has a great day!

I'm not the same day but my big wedding is a week before yours (3/27/21). I'm not too worried about it right now, I think that it will be MUCH better. Obviously there will be some restrictions, but I have hope that Covid will be a little more under control

Not the same day but close. My date is April 23,2021. And I have been stressing Covid too. Honestly it was kind of taking away the planning process excitement for me. But as we plan more and more like last Sunday we went for our first taste testing and I started getting a little more excited now. I've decided I'm just gonna enjoy the planning and hope for the best. Fingers crossed that Covid doesn't mess with either one of our weddings!

Yeah I completely get it. We have not been able to do any tastings yet, so that is super bumming me out. (Would have been tasting this week but my mom is out of town and wants to be present) We won't get to do our tasting until November. It sucks, because at that appointment we will get to see decorations as well. I can't really picture the wedding just yet if that makes sense. Congrats on your engagement!

Our wedding date is April 3rd! A part of me is really nervous because things can change so quickly (like what if I get sick or the venue suddenly can’t host our event?). But we kept to a really small guest list of just younger and local family (no grandparents or aunts and uncles who have to travel) so I’m not as nervous as some who have larger events planned. Overall I’m just really excited! I think if you keep the guest list small and to people who are super committed to being there and making sure they’re safe leading up to the wedding it can still be really great.

Awe yay! Its nice to meet someone else who has our date and see what stages there are in currently with wedding planning. What is the size of your guest list if you don't mind me asking? We have about 68 people invited, however majority of my family will not be there if COVID is still around. (I understand but hey I can still be bummed out right?) I feel like we are actually having a pretty small wedding as is. We did not want anything huge.

We postponed our October wedding to April. At this point I am most concerned about the restrictions, which are always a wild card. I am not too concerned about the virus itself.

Yeah I get that. I am constantly around people myself, and have been since COVID happened. (It's my job) I am just bummed if things do not start getting better I will not have those that I care about most there. I do not think things will really change with the venue, as they have been open and full functioning this entire time. (Knock on wood) I hope everything goes well for you! We actually bumped our wedding up from next October to April because we are tired of waiting. LOL

Just saw this! Don’t really understand all of the forum things here yet. We have only ten guests, two of whom are children, so not a huge healthy concern according to current guidelines. 68 seems like a lot to me, but only because mine is so small! I’m sorry to hear a lot of your guests might not attend. Maybe there is an option to move the ceremony outside and distance people enough they would at least feel comfortable attending that!
