April Fools Day wedding

So we are thinking about having a April Fools Day wedding. Has anyone ever been to one? Was it cheesy? We are a fun couple and could take the jokes and maybe make some throughout the wedding.

The date is fine. I'd probably avoid it as a theme though.

Another thing to keep in mind is that your anniversary will be on April fools day forever! So while you may be able to take it and have fun on your wedding day, maybe you won't think the jokes are so funny in 20 years.

We are having a April Fool's Day wedding because we originally got together on April Fool's Day 5 years ago...so far no one thinks it's a joke and I honestly don't see anyone thinking it's a joke. It's mostly family coming anyways, so we know everyone won't think that.

ETA: FH & I have a strong sense of humor, we aren't bothered by "sharing" our wedding/anniversaries with a humorous holiday. #hardyharharharriswedding (I'm joking, this isn't our wedding hashtag)

I'm getting married on April 1st this year! No jokes or pranks, but we both have a sense of humor about it. It's a small wedding with only our immediate family (8 guests). I will say that people have had some unsavory reactions to it when I've said the date, but luckily my family has been ok.

My FH and I are getting married on April Fools Day. We both love practical jokes and felt that this date was perfect for us. I think if you are fine with the date and want to have fun with it then you should do it. We aren't having a theme based on the day but we are planning a couple funny jokes. Regardless of what anyone thinks, it's your wedding, have the wedding that makes you happy!

My parter and I are having a small April fools day wedding and aren't planning on doing anything related to the day. I think of you can put up with the attitudes of people in this forum, you'll be able to handle the well meaning jokes from friends and family. When we told our guests and friends and family they just said "typical" or laughed and congratulated us. Mazel Tov!

I am getting married on April first this year and I am OVER people's reactions. We have a great sense of humor, but not the reason we picked that day. The people who look at me and comment with disbelief are the same ones who admit they've never acknowledged the day before. Get over it!! If the first Saturday in April fell on the 2nd nobody would bat an eye!!

My husband and I were married 4/1/16.
We did things a little fun. Got married in Paradise MI and waited till May 13th (Friday the 13th) to go on our honeymoon. We went to Hell MI. That way we could tell everyone the marriage started in paradise but we went thru hell and back for the honeymoon. Our own parents thought we were joking and didn't even show up.
