April Fools wedding--needs "prank" ideas

MySharrona, on February 17, 2012 at 1:28 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 21

We’re having an April 1st wedding and needs some “pranks” for the day. We only have two so far.

After our kiss, we’re doing our fist-bump/blow up while shouting “Booya!”

When we do the garter, my FH is going to pull out a GIANT pair of Granny-panties on the first try.

My thoughts on the bouquet—put it on elastic and yank it back a few times OR do a breakaway that splits into 3 pieces. No idea which is funnier. lol

Does anyone have other suggestions? I am not looking for anything mean or too messy

First dance - start off with something mellow and classic, and then mash it up with 30 seconds of choreographed dancing to "Ice Ice Baby" or Right Said Fred or something.

Where's Kimi? I bet she's a really good mischievous prankster. Smiley smile

I'm desperately trying to find this video for you...but there was one going around where a guest got up before the bride walked out and said, I can't wait for the objection! He started saying he was in love with the bride and he'd fight for her. So the groom and guest do this hilarious 'fight skit' with different props (including lightsabers) and then at the very end the guest says, oh wait...this isn't the ________ wedding? crap! I'm so sorry, wrong wedding...wrong wedding and keeps apologizing as he leaves the wedding. It was so incredibly funny

Also...could you make a 'fake' cake...you know with the cardboard boxes and what not and then have it tip over right before you cut it?? that would be pretty funny...as long as it didn't tip onto your dress

^OMG Cydney that's funny, but I think our older relatives would drop dead on the spot after having heart attacks. Smiley smile

What about you fake ripping your dress, or FH starting off in pants that look like dress pants, but have a trick flap so he could get "stuck" on something and rip a pant leg.

You must do something tricksy with the favors! Bertie's jelly beans, maybe.

I saw one idea on that kitCat...they passed out jars that wouldn't open as the wedding favors.

We aren't telling anyone that our officiant is doubling as the best man. Smiley smile

FH is going to go around telling people the officiant isnt there and he doesn't want me to know and all that jazz. Then as I get to him at the altar I'm gonna be like, "where is he?" and our friend is gonna be like, "ah I'll do it, no problem." lol We thought it would be funny. The only people who will know is the BP and our parents Smiley smile.

You could have him pull out a ring pop to put on your finger, then "whoops, wrong one!"

Food coloring in the mashed potatoes?

    Fake bugs under the tables?

Fake smoke pouring out of the food prep area?

I like the bouquet on a string!

    HAHA! these ideas are awesome.

If you have a dress with a bottom that will hide the chair you are sitting in for the garter toss, you could have him pull out all kinds of funny items along with the granny panties. I saw this once and it was HILARIOUS.

I love the ring pop idea.

We'll be having a photobooth with the photos projected on a wall - you could add some really funny shots to yours.

you could have a pillow under your dress and then pull it out when you get to the alter. Smiley smile

AWESOME ideas everyone! I knew I count count you you all! The FH love the idea of using a chair to hide more items for garter toss. We're going to pull out a rubber chicken. Smiley smile

I can't wait to show everyone pictures Smiley smile

@Kris. We like the idea of a mashup...a whole song is toooo much to choreograph. I think we're going with Goldigger by Kanye. lol
