April Wedding

So did you secure your venue yet?

I am
gett married is September but wanted to say your engagement is pretty average with time.

We are getting married this April and I’ve only heard wonderful things about that time of year. Day light savings begins so it stays lighter longer, the weather isn’t extreme, honeymoons are apparently great this time of year! We had a year and a half engagement and it flew by! So April 2020 sounds perfect ☺️

Not yet! They were booked for 2019 when we got engaged (October 2018) but I recently emailed them and they don't have their calendar set for 2020 yet. It's a country club so they have golf events and tennis events and socials and things to schedule. They told me if we had a specific date in mind that they could see what is tentatively planned so that's something haha

We got engaged in October so we were hoping to find a spot a year later (2019) but our ideal venue was booked. It's a bummer but I think it'll be nice to have more time to plan and save up.

View Quoted Comment Well securing a venue is the first thing you need to do in terms of planning. Without a venue, you don’t have a wedding.

We are getting married in April... His birthday is March and mine is June so we are in a similar situation. We will have had a 16 month engagement by then. I've been saying how quickly the time has been going for awhile now! It seems like once we got to 7 months or so left it was constantly moving faster.
I'm happy that the weather will be mild for our outdoor ceremony and as a pp mentioned, it'll be nice to take advantage of daylight savings. I just think April is a beautiful time of year. 😊

I'm getting married April 2020 also!! I looove the Spring, plus it's our anniversary month and my birthday month. My venue is booked, caterer booked, photographer booked, DJ booked, wedding cake baker booked, and even today booked our mobile bartender!! I try to get alot done now, so then we can focus SOLEY on making payments (and itll be harder for me to change my mind)

When it comes to setting your date in stone, you have to secure the venue with a deposit for sure. If you don’t solidify it with a contract, anything could happen! We are getting married 4.24.20 and we were still in the air for our date until we paid the deposit last month.

Were getting married April 18,2020! My twin sister is getting married in October of 2019 and we wanted our wedding after so we both love the spring so decided to have a spring wedding. My venue is booked, catering and alcohol are included, photography, and cake. Need to work on florals, dj, and hair/makeup.
