April weddings in Nj!

Alexandra, on December 31, 2020 at 1:15 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 2
Hi! So I’m technically already married (we celebrated our original date with family and moved the big reception to April), but I’m in NJ, which cases are spiking again, however weddings are still happening. My unique case is that 1/2 of my bridal party are from out of state, my MOH is in Ohio, one bridesmaid is in Tennessee and my other bridesmaid is in Delaware. Since weddings are still going on, I feel that since I don’t have my bridesmaids, I really want to push back again. But idk if I I will be able too. I feel it wouldn’t be fair to ask these three bridesmaid to basically take a month off, to a) quarantine for 14 days before and 14 days after. Has anyone else had this issue? Did their venue let them postpone?

Hey Alexandra!! Were getting married on april 3rd (started with 50 now downsized to 35) and have recently decided to not allow any of our friends from out of state attend the wedding as we feel its still not safe enough, even though you may have max 125 people (depending on location size). Its just too risky and like you said if we were to want everyone to follow protocol, it would be super difficult for those out of state to follow quarantine. So ultimately we are having max 35 people and our big party will be planned when we have a better idea of things being safe. We won’t put a date on it because things are still too uncertain but one thing is for sure...well be married one way or another in april lol! I know our situation is different since this is for your big reception but if safety is your number one priority, if your venue allows you to postpone, perhaps it would be best and give you all more peace of mind knowing everyone is safe❤️ Wish you the best!!

    I'm so sorry Alexandra! ❤️

Have you talked to those bridesmaids about your wedding and how they'd feel about travel and quarantine? If any of them can work from home and therefore be flexible with quarantining they might still be able to attend!
