APRIL weddings!

I am an April bride too, I have a ton left to do but I am slowly working on things as I can.....between two kids and working full time my time is limited! But my FH is helping with a lot, I even had him iron on bling letters for the Bridesmaids totes and he did a fantastic job We had a last minute change to where we are actually getting married, so I had to RE-ORDER my invitations, lol......but luckily it wasn't too huge of an expense to do that and we have everything squared away and moving forward now! I have a laundry list of things left to do, not enough time to do it, so I am counting on help from my friends and family. I am mailing out the invitations at the end of February, is this too late?!

I have to meet with the DJ, assemble the candy bags, stuff and address the invites, get the candy, finish the centerpieces, do the labels for the table names, finalize the cake and flowers and finish paying the vendors. Not too much more to go.

@ Brooke, I'm a 4/13/13 bride! Woo hoo and I went from a HUGE ceremony and reception to a small little chapel ceremony with 40 in attendance and a dinner reception at an Italian restaurant I've got my hotel booked, Venue, Food arrangements, photographer, dress, MOH's dress and shoes, Groom's outfit (wearing suspenders and a short sleeve dress shirt).

I still NEED: My shoes, to send out invites, to figure out if we want a cake lol, and get some decorations!

By the way, 4/27 is my mom's birthday! & I see a lot of you ladies getting married on that day! We were thinking about it too but don't want to steal my mom's thunder

Getting married in April and I feel like I am behind but I am slowly but surely getting it done! I am the kind of person who has to have it all done MEOW! but it's not going that fast and it frustrates me... so I had to write a list of priorities...

4/13/13 here! it's getting so close for us April brides

here's what i have left:

marriage license (have to wait for less than 60 days until the wedding for that one..)

pick out cake (next saturday! yay for free cake!)

assemble and mail invitations (WILL be done by the 9th... lmao)

assemble escort cards

assemble favors

get FH to get his *%&$!# passport (i've been after him for months about this... lol)

finalize menu

tuxes/suits

dress fittings

assemble table labels (non traditional so it's a DIY project, but i have a plan B just in case...)

seating arrangement

plan rehearsal/dinner

and lastly,

pay for everything. lmao

I have got almost everything done. I am working on my wedding programs and then I will be totally done. 69 more days to go!!!! Getting so excited!!!

Desire, that's why we chose 4/13/13 too! my mother's birthday is April 5, and we wanted to let her have that special day!

I can't remember why she said it was a good month, but a client of mine from Ireland told me April is a good month to get married... something about an old Irish tradition for good luck... which fits... I'm about 1/2 Irish.

Wow so many 4/27 brides! Yay! I enjoy reading everyone's posts because I usually find something I have forgotten to do!

I didn't know that about April being an Irish tradition, but I'll take it. I'm half Irish, too!

From on this site April 27th is a very popular date. I can't really believe it to be honest. I'm so stoked to be in double digits!

The list of what I HAVE done would be much shorter At least all of our vendors are in order...other than that...oy vey.

I'm an April bride too! I still need to find a florist (centerpieces are included so I just need bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and other little arrangements), I still need to order my cake, find a veil and shoes, bridesmaids gifts, parents gifts, and finish some DIY projects. I also need to find someone for hair and makeup. I just need to address my invitations and send them out in the mail! I feel like I got so behind with the holidays and everything, and now I need to catch everything up. The time has went by so fast!

And my grandpaw said the same thing to me when we first got engaged about April being lucky in Irish. My name is Tara O'Dowd lol I am 1/2 irish so when he told me this i loved it!

I am glad i am not alone looks like we are all in the same boat this the amount of things we have to get done! There is just not enough hours in a day!

@ Brittany F. Your list looks just like mine with a little more but you have more days then me! I still haven't found a veil and shoes that I like! I dont know where else to look?

I'm thinking about ordering a veil from etsy, I've heard some good reviews and I don't want to spend a ton of money. I won't be wearing it very long, just for the ceremony. I don't know about shoes, I want coral colored shoes to match my color but they are hard to find, especially in winter!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a big list lol!!

We picked our cake out recently and I just found someone to make me a custom cake topper which will work with the fresh peonies.

We will visit a restaurant on Sunday to hopefully reserve for the rehearsal.

Day of planner who won't break the bank

And a ton of seating cards to assemble Oi!

I did create a preliminary seating chart. NOW THAT WAS HARD!!!

Brittany, I made my birdcage veil. I watched two videos on youtube and googled instructions and specifications.

Etsy I looked but in my head i have a design but cant seem to find it! Have you looked online for the shoes? I want something with bling but not the whole shoe bling! Its hard to find something when you know in your head what you want!!!

Tara, I know the feeling. I wanted these vintage shoes, and could only find them in London for about $300. I finally found them on lightbox.com for under $50.
