Out of curiosity, for April/May brides, are you planning to require your guests to wear masks? And what other Covid precautions are you taking?

I'm requiring all guest wear a mask that will be attending physically to the wedding..I am also asking everyone to have a recent covid screening done to ensure the health of everyone attending.

My wedding is in May and it's pretty small, no more than 40 people, and while we are having it outside, guests are expected to wear masks. I want to take all the precautions and make sure that no one gets sick. All the guests will be provided disposable masks just in case and the only time they'll remove them is when they're eating.

No. If my guests would like to wear masks they can. I am not taking any special cautions on this day. Our numbers here are extremely low and death rates have been so extremely low for months now. I will not be bringing attention to Covid on my website either by saying anything about it.

Hey! I'm getting married May 29, and no we decided to not make Masks required, they are 100% optional to the individual. The venue is outdoors, and the indoor reception hall is not being filled to capacity even if every person we invited comes, which is unlikely. If people think there's a chance they were exposed, they can choose not to come.

Honestly, I put on my wedding website whatever makes them comfortable. The ceremony is outside and my venue isn’t requiring masks. I put the decision to come to our wedding up to my guests but as the bride, I am not wearing a mask. I do have my vaccine as well. Anyone that wants to wear a mask is more than accepted to do so, and I ask that the people that don’t wear masks give the people that are wearing masks their respect and distance.

Being in WA state, our venue will require it when not eating or drinking. However, most of our guests will be fully vaccinated by that time so I believe if you are in a room with other vaccinated people it is not required that masks are worn. We’ll follow the suggested guidelines.

Masks are required inside all public spaces (e.g., bathroom, hallways) in my venue but my ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside so guests can do whatever they are comfortable. A negative covid test is required though per NYS order. May 31st bride!

I’m in VA too with a wedding date of May 1st. He just relaxed the regulations so you might want to double check. Our venue told us as long as the mask mandate is in place, they need to have one on while inside unless eating or drinking. Masks are not required during pics or outside. If the weather is nice, once we eat, we’ll move the reception outside. I expect he’ll up the indoor number to 100 by May since he just moved it to 50 but we’ll just have to wait and see.

We are planning on having disposable masks and hand sanitizer/ hand washing stations at the entrance as people come in. We are giving our guests a choice but also will be providing options to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Yeah we watched his press conference. It's 50 indoors and 100 outdoors. He has a court case today at 3p.m. being sued by a venue for discrimination so I'm hoping for something from that also. We have 152 including us. In May it'll be hard to predict the weather for anything outdoors. We sent out invitations already hoping it remains but if not we will update our website with new information for guest.

I’m not requiring masks but I’m still going to give everyone a mask and sanitizer. We’re going to set up extra tables so people can space how they’re comfortable.

I was also told if you can classify it as a religious ceremony (if you have an ordained minister presiding over it), you can have as many as you want due to the Catholic Church taking that to the Supreme Court but I didn’t research it since our guest list is hovering around 60. Best of luck! I hope you can have it. I’ve been engaged for a year and a half and I’m so ready to be married, lol.

My wedding ceremony is outdoors and the reception is indoors, so for when we are indoors, the state requires guests to wear masks, unless they are seated at a table with his immediate family members. You should be checking your current state requirements for events to determine whether or not wearing a mask is required.

No. We have decided to get married on the beach and only invite family. We have 50 people coming and everyone is taking rapid covid tests before coming. I only have one guest who said she is still gonna wear a mask and we are ok with that! But we are vaccinated and so are many other family members coming.

It is required by our state to wear masks indoors, so it is expected. If it was up to me I would not require masks but we don’t have an option.

Nope, if you wanna wear one thats fine but I've always found wearing masks ridiculous in a restaurant setting, (I dont mean any other setting though where you dont eat) you can't eat through your mask so why would it matter if you had one on at one end of the room to going to the other when you could have like coughed and spread it to anyone in the restaurant who is currently eating.

My wedding is at the end of May. My reception is outside. My state is lifting restrictions slowly and I would never force anyone to wear a mask if they don't want to. Adults can make their own decisions as to how they want to handle the virus.
