Out of curiosity, for April/May brides, are you planning to require your guests to wear masks? And what other Covid precautions are you taking?

Our wedding is completely outside with 100 guests or less. We are recommending that our guests wear masks when they are on the shuttle, interacting with servers/bartenders, and when they are unable to maintain distance from others. With that said, we will not be policing people about it.

Our wedding is May 15th. The ceremony will be outside and the cocktail/reception will be inside. I am not requiring masks but the venue has stated that if a guest leaves the reception area they must wear a mask. We are sitting 6 to a table right now but hope that it may increase to at least 8 to a table by May. Most of our guests who wanted the vaccine will have had it by then. I have told my guests that if they feel more comfortable wearing a mask to please do so and asked them to please refrain from coming if they are experiencing any COVID like symptoms day of. There will also be sanitizers and hand washing stations throughout the venue for guests to use.

I'm in VA too but we are moving forward with 100 guests outside since Northam loosened restrictions yesterday.

We are getting married in May and our church follows state guidelines so our guests are required to wear masks inside during the ceremony. Our reception is outdoors so no masks required, but we will definitely have hand sanitizer and plenty of space. We had to cut our guests from 100 to 60, but that was before the COVID update as of April 1 that allows 100 guests for outdoors. It will still be fantastic so we’re good!

I’ve asked guests to wear masks when they enter the venue and whenever they are walking. When sitting or eating during the ceremony or reception it’s not required.

Our wedding is in May. We are providing masks for guests that would like one. They are being custom made with the bride and groom’s name and wedding date.

I live in Georgia and our governor actually just announced yesterday that every Georgian 16 and older will be available for the vaccine starting tomorrow! Such great news! Also my wedding is all outdoors so that plus the vaccine availability, I won't be requiring masks. Although, if anyone hasn't had a chance to receive one by then, I will ask that they symptom check prior to the event.

I am getting married May 1st, we are planning for 350 people. I am not “requiring” masks. I feel like it is to the point that the guests who want to wear them or feel unsafe will wear them, and the guests who are not as worried or feel safe can choose not to wear them. I am also doing the colored silicone bracelets so that other people and we know who to go close to and talk about who to stay 6ft from. I think giving people the choice and letting them do what is comfortable for them!

4.24.2021 bride here! Guests are welcome to wear masks if they would like, but we won't be requiring it. Ceremony and reception are outdoors and we will have sanitizing stations set up and disposable masks available for those who may want them. The area is pretty large and we're having about 75 guests probably. (Still waiting to get final numbers, but that's what it's looking like.) Some of our guests already are or will be vaccinated by then, though we're in CA so they're rolling out pretty slowly for those who are younger and without an underlying condition. We are definitely asking people to use common sense and stay home if they're feeling unwell day of. We may also be doing temperature checks at the door.

You can buy the colored bracelets from Oriental Trading Company (300 bracelets for $30). They have a "socially distanced" wedding section.

For sanitizer, we bought 2 oz flip top bottles on Amazon and a gallon jug of hand sanitizer from Costco and filled them ourselves. Then put personalized stickers on them from Zazzle.

My wedding is in May and I am not requiring my guests to wear masks, but that is because my state no longer requires them. Therefore I do not want to require them either. Plus most of the wedding will be spent outside except for dinner!

Our guest list is small, 22 people. We are requiring masking except when eating/drinking and are seating people in the same households together for the reception.
