Are any of you booking your honeymoon through Airbnb?

So, I've been looking for a place we can rent for our honeymoon, and found some great rates on Airbnb, but I have never used it. Have you guys used it in the past with luck? How exactly does it work? I'm so confused!

I have used VRBO throughout the US, Canada, Jamaica, Barbados, Antilles and London. It's part of the HomeAway family and has an excellent reputation. Never once had a problem. I have no problem just considering it MY vacation home while I'm there. They are rarely anyone's primary residence....almost always vacation second homes. The one in Montreal was actually a hotel of apartments.

We're using an air bnb two out of the three places we're traveling to on our honeymoon. If considering costs it's usually more inexpensive to cook in one and we like homemade meals. I like the privacy and the places we're staying have private outdoor patio spaces

Me and FH are using airbnb for our honeymoon, and we have used it in the past. My family has also been hosting for airbnb for about 5 years now and it is such an amazing experience for both parties. You get to go new places, meet new people and have new experiences. It's a lot more than you'll get out of staying in a hotel. Staying somewhere with airbnb offers you so much more, for example, you host can give you the local's inside on things to do or not do in that city. It is such an amazing company.

Plus, the recently added the Pay Half Now option which is really neat

I always had only good experience with Airbnb too. You shouldn't be worried. it's the cheapest way of staying in a place, and very comfortable too.

I've used Airbnb maybe a dozen times or so, I use it almost exclusively now when possible. I've heard a few bad experiences here and there, but I that can happen with any business. Just make sure you thoroughly read all of their reviews (some people have multiple properties).

AirB&B is fantastic. We're using VRBO for our honeymoon (similar concept), but using AirB&B the night before and night of the wedding.

In this case, I am getting a 3bed/2.5bath house for similar pricing to a 1 bedroom hotel room. It's going to be great to be getting ready there with my bridesmaids. Never can have enough bathrooms!
