Are guest books still a thing?

I'm getting married next year (YAY) and was wondering if guest books at the ceremony venue are still a thing? I can't recall the last time I wrote in a guest book or made my way over to a poster with guests signing it? Should I invest? (Not that it's expensive in comparison to everything else)....

YES! This is what I am doing! I created a photo book from all of our unused engagement photos (Cause these really needed to be used SOMEWHERE) and left blank pages and big empty sections. We are putting the photo book at the entrance to our ceremony (then later our reception, just in case...) along with 2 polaroid cameras. Our nephews will be in charge of taking pictures of guests. The guests will tape the photos to their preferred pages and write a message.

I love polaroids and I'm pretty sure everyone else does too. I also needed to find a fun job for our teenage nephews (in hopes that they don't just fart around with it!)

There are SO many other options, but many of them I ruled out because I knew it would just be a dust collector. Although this may be too, it will be fun to go back and look at pictures as opposed to just reading signatures.

    Hope this helps!
