Are Navy Blue bridesmaid dresses too dark for a Spring wedding?

We're getting married in May and all along I have been planning on going with a light/baby blue for the bridesmaid dresses. I started thinking about the church we are getting married in (it's an old chapel that is very dark inside) and beginning to think that a light color will clash. I really like navy blue but had decided against it originally because I felt like it was too dark for a spring wedding. What do you guys think?

I think navy is a classic and flattering color any time of the year. I say go for it!!

Navy blue goes with so many different colors you’ll have no trouble fitting it into your spring decor! It’s also very flattering on most people - great choice! You can bring in spring colors with flowers, centerpieces, table cloth colors, etc. it will look great!!

It's not too dark. Most men's suits are dark in colour and they look great anytime of year, dresses are no different. It'll look good with anything

You could totally make navy blue dresses work! You can make it more fitting for spring with the flowers and accessories and decor. It’s your wedding and you should pick what dresses you like!

I'm going to play devil's advocate and say that although Navy is fine for spring, if your venue is dark inside, I think a light shade of blue would be beautiful and help stand out against the background and good for indoor photos as a lighter color would show up better in both color and black and white photos

We had navy bridesmaid dresses for our wedding which was in May. I thought the navy looked really nice during the spring time especially with the light colored flowers.

It will look great! I was in my friends wedding a couple years back In May and we wore navy blue bridesmaid dresses! Her other colors were blush and ivory and we had succulents mixed in our bouquets. It was gorgeous and not too dark at all

The way I see it is that it is your wedding and if you want navy dresses in May then have navy dresses in May! Who cares what other people think about it!

If you coordinate the navy blue with another color, it will work very well together. Navy blue is a good color to use year round.
