Are Navy Blue bridesmaid dresses too dark for a Spring wedding?

We're getting married in May and all along I have been planning on going with a light/baby blue for the bridesmaid dresses. I started thinking about the church we are getting married in (it's an old chapel that is very dark inside) and beginning to think that a light color will clash. I really like navy blue but had decided against it originally because I felt like it was too dark for a spring wedding. What do you guys think?

    When I picked my colors I didn’t consider time of year, venue etc. royal blue is my all time favorite color, so that is what I am doing.
