Are there any brides who purchased supermarket flowers as their bouquet?

I can't justify the amount of money needed for a bouquet,
i'm not a flowery person - i like flowers but i don't have a specific favorite and i'm not fussy about the arrangement of them.

I like the flowers you get in supermarkets and with a little shuffle around i think they'd be okay...? i was also thinking of buying different bunches to have as table decor from supermarkets too.

anyone else do the same?

I’m having my bouquet made by a florist and my bridesmaid will come from the grocery store.
Ahe wanted to charge $50 to tie 3 hydrangeas together. The grocery store sells them for $5 a stem. I can’t stomach paying that much more. But there is absolutely no way I would attempt my own. I tried to make a sample one for me and it was hard to do and ugly. So the money is worth it to me. But I bought all the flowers to make my samolemon for less than $40 so huge savings!

I’m getting mine from the farmer across the street. His wife makes beautiful small bouquets throughout the summer 😍

I was JUST thinking about this myself. All the pieces I need can be found at my local Costco. It's going to be a last minute call for me lol

I had a very low-key, backyard wedding and used grocery store flowers. I ordered my bouquet a few weeks in advance. I think it cost around $80, but I could have gotten one MUCH cheaper if I hadn't wanted calla lilies (by far the most expensive part of the bouquet). I generally liked my bouquet, but I'm not super picky and basically told the flower lady at the grocery store that I wanted pink roses, white calla lilies, "greenery" filler, and the total number of blooms. I left the rest up to her.

The day before my wedding, I went to pick up the bouquet and also picked up several bunches of hydrangeas in my colors, and baby's breath. Because I didn't have a big wedding, I didn't need to get that many and it was pretty easy to arrange them myself (3-4 hydrangeas in each vase with baby's breath). I know I saved a lot of money this way, and would recommend grocery store flowers if you're on a budget, but I do think there's a quality difference between buying from a florist whose reputation is on the line, and buying from a grocery store.

This is how I feel about bouts and corsages. I am not talented enough to do my own bouquets but people charge $15-20 PER bout?? I'm like huh? I want one fricken dahlia for the bouts and a greenery/twig/berry accent. I can get them at wegmans in bunches. One bunch has 5 for about $14. So that's 5 bouts for the price of one. It's insane. My problem is finding a florist now who doesn't care I DIY my own stuff and to stick to my budget for all my other pieces. ughhhh
