Are Trials Usually Included or a Separate Fee

Kia, on September 20, 2020 at 11:12 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 12
I found a hairstylist for us on Sunday night and we (me and the owner) were emailing back and forth for a day or so; she was getting me all of my information and prices but then I asked if the trial was included and she stopped responding (That was Tuesday night). I’ve been trying to look on the website but I can’t even really do that because all of the info listed is strictly for local brides (within 15miles). My location is 25 miles out so the prices changed for me significantly, which is fine, But I also don’t want to assume anything. I planned on responding to my email in a week asking if there was an update, but in the meantime I’ll ask you guys!

Was your trial for your hair included or did you have to pay for that?

Daughter paid separately for her trial. I believe the trial for her hair and make-up was about $200, and her day of was at least $300. With tips each time, I think her HMU total was $600. (We're in a high cost of living area and the woman she worked with was a very in-demand wedding HMUA.)

My trial was separate and it was literally just a trial (like an hour total and you go through a few looks, you don't leave looking like you're ready for your wedding and your makeup stays on all day) but it was only $35.

Every vendor is different so find out when you interview them.

It depends. My salon for hair was included in the package price and my MUA charged a separate fee.

Mine was separate as it’s optional to do a trial or not. I would suggest doing your trial on a special occasion to get the most out of it. I did mine for my birthday. Lots of brides do it for their bridal shower
