Are veils going out of style?

Last night I was looking for veil inspirations so I was scrolling through some wedding venues instagrams. I was surprised that about 80% of the brides weren't wearing a veil. Are veils becoming less and less popular?

I actually think veils are making a bit of a come-back!

I had no intention of wearing one. Then I found one I fell in love with and couldn't imagine not having it.

I'm only wearing one bc my mom guilted me into it, so I picked a cathedral length veil without a blusher...go big or go home.

I love them. I have no idea what the veil is for (since we don't use it in my culture), but I'm wearing one anyways because it's just so pretty and special

I'm definitely wearing one. I don't think the outfit is complete without a veil. Now just to find a lace one under $50

This is my second marriage. My first one, the veil completed the look. I had red all over my dress and the veil had a gorgeous red trim. This time around I have no want to spend money on a veil, especially when I really dont want one. I am having a beach wedding, I feel like its not necessary. I am not against them, I just dont want one personally.

I feel silly in one. My mom pretty much agrees that it just doesn't look right on me. I'll give it another try when my dress comes in but I'm pretty much no veil.

This is my second wedding and I'm totally wearing a veil this time around. I tried on two dresses, put the first dress back on, added the veil and walked back to the mirror staring at my feet...my FMIL gasped and when I looked in the mirror, I couldn't see myself in anything else. It just completed the look and I was in tears. I cannot wait to walk down the aisle and see the look on his face <3 I do plan to take the veil off sometime before dinner...not exactly sure of when yet though

I don't think we should fall into trends, I think you should wear what you've always envisioned (if you've ever dreamt of your wedding). If you've never liked veils, don't wear one. Personally, I feel that my cathedral length veil completes the look I was going for.

What i have seen, veils are not out of style and really complete the "bride" look. However, it does seem like using the blusher to cover the face is out of style.

I don't think they are going out of fashion, I think more people are opting out of it. I have never seen myself wearing one, and I knew the feel of the fabric would drive me batty, but my mom REALLY had to see one on me. It looked really pretty, but the feel of it against my neck and arms made me feel icky. Sorry mom!
