Are veils going out of style?

Last night I was looking for veil inspirations so I was scrolling through some wedding venues instagrams. I was surprised that about 80% of the brides weren't wearing a veil. Are veils becoming less and less popular?

I haven't bought a dress yet and I've only tried a veil once and I really didn't like it on me.

I don't do things for the "trend or Style"....because they always change! I do things that I like. ..so with that being said, I will be wearing a veil AND a blusher! Because I want to! And NO I'M NOT UGLY....I'M BEAUTIFUL ( I saw someone post that ugly people wear them..LOL!)

I actually thought you were just "supposed" to wear a veil until my hair dresser told me that, with the hairdo I'm doing, a veil won't work. I literally NEVER knew it was an option. But the more and more I think about it, I haven't really cared about the veil. I planned to just purchase it last. So, I'm going with a pretty comb instead!!! It's an adjustment to think about, but I think it's the right choice for me and for my overall look.

Today, haha- I'm not wearing one, because my dress has a lot going on and I don't want to over do it. However one of the associates at the bridal store made a very good point. Your wedding is the ONLY time you will have the chance to wear a veil. So, food for thought Smiley smile

Don't worry what's in style, do what will make you feel best! Smiley smile I wore a hair comb because I personally didn't want to wear one but it's very subjective - whatever you think is prettiest.

I have a veil. It definitely completes my look. Can't wait to wear it.

I am wearing one, including a blusher over my face, until after the Rite of Marriage (which will be about halfway through the Mass). I wear a veil over my hair for weekly Mass, so it was a given that I'd wear one for our wedding Mass.

Veils are so traditional. I find that more traditional brides wear them. I personally hate what the veil stands for so I'm not wearing one. But if you like it, rock it!!!

I think a veil makes it complete. It take it from girl in a beautiful gown to a beautiful bride. I have a lace trimmed cathedral length veil. Can't wait to wear it!

I didn't do a veil. I went with a more ornate head piece. I'm just not a veil kinda gal. To each their own.

I don't want to wear one but my mom really wants me to, so I might try to find an inexpensive one to wear for our ceremony.

On the fence with an outdoor ceremony. Worried about battling the wind, but in lieu of buying a veil my mom is letting me borrow hers. I will also wear a flower crown as a nod to Midsommar festivals in Sweden as my grandparents married on Midsommar.

I don't think they're going out of style. It just wasn't my style but almost every bride I have seen in real life has worn one.
