I with Cabell G... I would caution, that while you embrace your full-figures... you should not bash other types of figures...I WOULD BE RIDICULED if I posted something that says "fat is for punnks"...it really bothers me that to embrace their size, full-figured women have to step on skinnier women (I actually happen to be a thick-small girl...haha)

@Vanessa R., thank you! It's called a chuppah, and it is a traditional Jewish wedding canopy, symbolizing the couple's new home together. I actually made ours, using the frame from a portable popup gazebo. That way, we could fold it up for the trip up to Massachusetts and back again, and then easily put it up first at our ceremony, and then at our reception to frame the cake table.

I'm a 16/18 depending on the maker. I can't stand it, I'm definitely loosing weight! My leg have always been big and always will be they're all muscle, when I was skinny I used to buy jeans to fit my thighs and they'd be too big on my waist. Even my avator I was about 40 lighter!

@Luta - that's the wedding dress I bought Sunday Smiley smile

I know I'm still not really big per say, but I have gained loads of weight this past year and am not too happy about it. I really do need to jump on board and just be happy with who I am. This was taken a few days ago. I've been avoiding cameras but I finally said SCREW it.

I actually co own a group on yahoo for BBW's in Oklahoma. I am technically ssbbw. (super sized bbw) We have parties every 2 months because so many larger women are too shy to go out in public to clubs, to even socialize. We call it size acceptance so anyone is welcome. I agree with Cabell that we shouldn't discriminate against thinner women. I believe we are all beautiful too. Ive learned to love myself no matter what size I am. :-)

You are all beautiful, but I specifically want to say that YOU, JulyBride, look FANTASTIC. I know it's hard when your body suddenly changes, no matter what the exact change is (even losing a lot of weight is kind of weird--I lost seven inches off my chest when I lost weight in 2005 and I was SAD), but I agree that you should try to feel comfortable with your body the way it is, and you look good.

Angro1975: I really like your total look! Hair, clothes, make-up, everything--you just look like a pin-up. Smiley laugh

    Thank you Cabell!!!

Antonette; although I am all for your post on being proud, you are far from a BBW in my own humble opinion. I use to go to and give BBW mixers so I'm kind of familiar with it, oh and at 250 lbs I am one for sure. I give you props for your 'love your body' attitude, but in reality a lot of us big girl wish we were your definition of a BBW. At any rate, your sentiment has not gone unnoticed. I think all women should embrace their uniqueness and have a better self image big or small.

    Women Rock. Period!

Thanks, Cabell, for mentioning the fact that even when you're SKINNY you aren't the right shape. All my life I have been skinny as a rail. Through highschool I could barely hit 100 lbs and I was 5'7. You could see my ribs, hip bones, and my disgusting collar bone, and I could do NOTHING about it. I ate and ate and ate. I just had a really fast metabolism. I WANTED to be bigger, but couldn't. And people always assumed I just didn't eat, that I had an eating disorder, that I was throwing up in the bathroom after lunch. I even had guidance counselors come to me and ask if I needed to talk about my eating disorder. I was so self conscious my whole life. Thankfully after highschool I started gaining weight, and now I'm a healthy 135 lbs. Now that I'm at THIS weight, I always feel like my stomach could be flatter, or my butt could be a little smaller.. I've just come to realize that it doesn't matter if you're big or small, you're going to get criticism.

I guess that first sentence should've said you aren't CONSIDERED the "right shape"

Thank you Cabell, that really means a lot to hear. I have a whole slew of issues when it comes to food/weight/my body. I went from being treatment center hospital skinny to healthy but on the lower end to where I'm at now. I'm trying as hard as I can to embrace it and love my body as it is but it is not always easy, especially after having had kept my weight as low as possible for so many years. :::hugs:::
