Are you changing at reception?

Are you changing out of your wedding dress at reception or staying in your dress all night long?

I stayed with my dress all night long. Never plan to change it and I even went to the after party with my dress!

Nope. I’m not spending thousands of dollars on a dress to only wear it for an hour.

I know! I feel like I want to stay in my dress as well. The last two weddings I've been to they both changed. I will never get to wear my dress again, so I want to wear it as long as possible. I just worry it may be hard to dance in.

Exactly! You’re never going to wear it again. I had a little hard time dancing at times but is just one night and I didn’t let it bother me. I also had some help from my girls with this.

I'm staying in my dress until the very end. This dress with alterations has now reached the $2000 mark (original budget was $500!) so I will be in that dress as long as possible. I've already told my FH that as soon as the wedding is over, I'm gonna start planning our vow renewal cause damn if I won't be wearing this dress again!

I’m wearing my wedding dress the entire time! I have a long dream so I will have my dress bustled so I can dance without problems.

I stayed in my dress all night. I see why some brides change but personally I don’t understand why you’d spend all the money on a dress just to change an hour or two later.

Staying in the same dress. I don't need the expense of a reception dress. I don't find them necessary if you find the right wedding dress. That's just me though. I am changing my shoes from heels to flats

I changed, and was so happy I had the option! I wore my "real" dress for the ceremony, all the pictures, throughout dinner and the formal dances but switched over before we went around greeting everyone. My reception dress was much lighter and cooler, plus way easier to maneuver.

However, I only spent $400 in total on my actual dress, and around $55 on the second one, so I felt I still got my money's worth out of them both.

I had planned to change and even bought a dress but never changed because my dress was comfortable and I didn’t want to take it off.
