Are you counting the days until you can cut your hair?

As a marathon runner, normally I keep my hair super short this time of year, because it's hot as blazes out. I'm racing a half marathon tomorrow, and I'm dying that my hair is so long. But alas, the sacrifices we make for having enough hair to do something for the wedding pictures, right? Seriously,...

Seriously, this is so first world problem, but I'm counting the days until I can cut my hair short again as much as I am for the wedding itself.

Yesss!!! I've always had long hair, but the past two months I've been itching to chop it off and lighten it....but like you said, I need it long for the pictures. 5 more months

I cut it off. I couldn't take it anymore. I want an updo and I feel like it would have looked huge with all that hair anyway.

I can't wait! I grew mine out because I wanted to do an updo, and my hair is really thin so I needed the length to be able to do anything with it. I'm already looking at styles for when I cut it!

I normally wear my hair long, but at this point its "too" long! I feel like I can't do anything with it, not even make a decent looking bun lol. Definitely cutting 6" or more off after the wedding!

I cannot wait. I usually do grow it out so I can donate it so it's totally new to me but I'd probably be doing about now if it weren't for the wedding. It's about halfway down my back at this point and is very unmanageable.

Oh god yes. I normally keep my hair around shoulder length, but I've been growing it out for the wedding and it's past the bottoms of the back of my shoulder blades. I live in AZ and am dreading having such long dark hair through the blazing summer. But I want it long so my updo looks full enough. I plan to cut the like the day after the wedding, and donate it.

I'm getting an undercut within 24 hours of the wedding being over.

I normally keep my hair decently long so this is normal for me, but I would say check out Jordan Hasay for inspiration. If that girl can run the times she does with that much hair, then you can too!! Good luck this weekend!

Im a marathon runner also, I do prefer my hair long-ish- french braid and go! no tangles!!!!! I donated my hair the day before my FH propose, and have been regretting it...although i know i did something good.

    Good luck!

YES! I am definitely counting down the days! All my coworkers think I should leave it long, but with extremely thick & curly hair, it's so much easier to handle and style when it's short. I feel like right now I am using so much product for it to look nice. I feel like my hair just absorbs all the product and it just looks blah. Plus I loose SO much hair in the shower when I wash it.

I tried but I needed at least a little bit of length cut off. It's still long enough to do something with and it'll grow a little bit between now and then. It felt so much better afterwards. Haha.

My hair was just past my waist on the wedding day, but I'd been growing it for a couple years before the wedding. I can't say I was waiting anxiously to cut it, but I got quite good at inventing new hairstyles with a couple of elastics and clips. lol Since then, I've had about a foot cut off, but it's still halfway down my back - I just don't have the facial structure for really short hair.

So my FH has always been a fan of short hair on me and I go back and forth between loving it and hating it. I've always wanted long locks for the big day, but this past Christmas (3 weeks before we got engaged), FH encouraged me to chop off everything I've been growing out. I didn't think the proposal was coming so soon so I did it and now we're getting married in less than 6 months and my hair is barely below my shoulders. Smiley sad I'm going to have to get extensions put in for the hairstyle I want and he still hears me complain about it on a regular basis.

OH MY GOD YES. I'm excited I'll have lots of hair to donate (if all of you are cutting off at least 12 inches, make sure they just lop it off in a ponytail so you can donate to Locks of Love!!) like I have ever since my mom got cancer, but man I want to cut it now so bad!

Yep! I still have so long before my date, but my hair grows sooooo slowly that I'm hesitant to cut it drastically before then.

Sweet Jesus yes. It makes running such a nightmare. I been shoving my ponytail though a hat then braiding it, just to keep it under control. It was well past my chest this week and I kind of snapped an cut and inch and half off. Oh well.

Oh man, I love how many others are doing this! I thought it was going to be weird to ask to chop it off the day after the wedding (if possible). The sooner the better! I've always had short hair but been growing it out the past 4 years. I'm pretty low maintenance so I prefer just being able to brush it and go, but brushing and washing is such a chore with long hair. Ended up going in for a trim two weeks ago and got bangs! Even just a small change was so nice.
