Are you doing or ditching the something old, new, borrowed, or blue tradition?

Thank you, next (tradition): the veil?

Keeping- only because it occurred naturally. My mom's earing that my dad gave her are blue and a nice nod to my late-dad.

Old, borrowed & blue will be my mom's wedding veil the flowers on it don't match my theme but will be sentimental to her and her veil was my grandma's (her mom) which o didn't really knew because I was young.

    Yes, I love this tradition!

    Old: my great-grandmother’s earrings
    New: my dress/veil/shoes
    Borrowed: my grandmother’s wedding band
    Blue: “Something Blue” perfume

And I’ll also be doing the last part of the rhyme and putting a sixpence in my shoe!

I’d like to keep this tradition but I’m not exactly sure how I’ll incorporate it.

Yup - I like this one.

Something old - a lace handkerchief that belonged to my mother

    Something new - new earrings

something borrowed - still working on this one!

something blue - my dress is blue

The lace handkerchief sounds beautiful! Your dress is blue, omg!!! Is it a light or dark blue?

Hopefully doing but other than ordering a sixpence for my shoe, I have not found anything for it yet.

Light blue with touches of gold. I'm having my dress made - I'm 58 and just couldn't find a dress that seemed to suit me. It will be tea length, 3/4 sleeves. the bodice will be a gorgeous light blue lace over a skin tone underlayer. the skirt will light blue and gold double-faces silk satin with a blue/gold chiffon overlay. just went for my mock fitting yesterday (she creates the final pattern after creating a 'mock up' out of muslin - pinning and marking where things need to tucked/lengthened. It was amazing - can't wait for my first formal fitting!!

If my dad or mother purchases me these items I'll wear them but I don't think I will go out of my way to get them. I do want a vintage hair piece for my hair so maybe that'll be my something old. But the rest aren't important
