Nay! We're getting married 10 minutes away from FH's hometown. We wanted to get married where we live (Nashville), but everything was cheaper in Alabama! Our venue is 1 1/2 hours from where we live & 2 1/2 hours from my hometown.
Yay! We're getting married in my hometown Virginia Beach, Va. (not his hometown, but our current residence). Our venue is a contemporary art museum neat the oceanfront

Nay! We are from the same hometown and we are getting married over an hour away.
Yes! We both grew up in the same area, sometime as close as one street away from each other. We wanted to have it close to our family where they wouldn't have to travel so far.

Nay, we are getting married in the town we live in. My hometown is about an hour away and FH's hometown is about 3.5 hours away. Our venue is a ballroom.
We are getting married in our hometown. Mostly out of fear for our lives if we eloped. My dad would murder us both. Mostly joking, I think, but it will be nice to share everything with family and friends. I wanted to elope but see above fearing for my life. FH wanted a huge wedding. So we met in the middle with a small wedding with our favorite people.
Nope. I haven’t lived in my hometown for 9 years, and FH hasn’t lived in his for 19. We are getting married in the town we live in now, which is also where we met.
Nay. My fiance and I moved in together into the house we live in now and decided to get married here, since this is where our lives are and where we plan on living for a long time. It is about 2 hours from where he grew up and its a different state from where I grew up, so most people will be traveling.
Yes!! We are getting married in our hometown, which is about an hour away from where we live now. But we grew up there, went to school there, met there, fell in love there! It still holds a very special place in our hearts, so we couldn't think of a better place to get married!
No. We are getting married in Akumal, Mexico. I am from Ohio, he is from Oklahoma. We live in TX; neither of us with family nearby. We looked at getting married here in Texas. It was always going to be a flight for my family, and it is a 10+hour drive for the closest of his relatives (his immediate family lives all over the country). A destination wedding actually ended up being the most cost effective option, with the best inclusions for the money. AND we get to have an immediate mini moon. Win - Win - Win.
