Are you getting married in your hometown? Yea or nay?

Not my hometown but my FH hometown we are😍

We’re getting married in our hometown. Most of our family is still there, and it was easier for us to just go there. We didn’t have to worry about literally all of our guests having to travel over 6 hrs away.

No, but we’ve both have lived here the longest and our immediate family is close by and it’s cost efficient for everyone.

Nay! We both are from small towns where venues range from the local church for the ceremony and K of C hall for the reception. We're planning on having it about 45mins-hour away from home but keeping the ceremony and reception at the same venue with a cocktail hour in between so those who traveled don't have to leave and figure out what to do for 1-2 hours.

It's a struggle though because its literally 10K cheaper to do hold it in our home towns than somewhere in the city.

Yes. We plan to get married where we live because it'll be more economical and easier for us to coordinate.

Nay, our hometown is small, ugly and doesn't have the greatest memories. So we're getting married where we currently live!

We are! We’re both from their and both of our families live there (minus my aunt and uncles who live in Hawaii and Arizona respectively) so it just made the most amount of sense. Plus we currently live in the town we attend college in so while I absolutely love this place, the town where we met held way more importance. Unfortunately having to travel 2.5 hrs for planning purposes isn’t the best but hey, you win some and you lose some.

No, Getting married where we live now in Brooklyn. A more even playing field for both of our families. I’m from upstate and he’s from Long Island. I’ve been in nyc for 13 years so it’s more like home now

Nope! We are both “imports” to Atlanta 😂 FH was born in Cali, mostly grew up in Idaho. I was born in Arkansas and lived in Mississippi off and on for a bit before we moved to Georgia
