Are you getting your rings soldered?

Has anyone gotten their rings soldered together after the wedding? Have you thought about it? My rings came as a bridal set. Sometimes one ring will spin and the other stays put, making them not always line up correctly. What are you going to do? How long does it take?

No, I don't care for soldering. I might not even get a wedding band... I like my e-ring on its own.

@LadyMonk... that can definitely happen. My e-ring from my first marriage was extremely detailed with raised scrolls all the way around. Instead of buying the matching wedding band, I wore two plain bands- one on each side. I was married for like a minute, and even in the short few months that I wore the rings, there was visible wear on my e-ring.

The only issue is that if you ever need to size your rings or have repairs done you will have to pay to have them un-soldered and then re-soldered.

The rings will rub and wear on each other for sure, so if they are white gold there is potentially that you will have to have them re-dipped sooner if they have worn each other down.

I got mine done before our wedding...but I needed to get it re-sized when we ordered our wedding bands so they just re-sized and did the soldering all at once - too about a week.

I would have gotten it done either way...i hated how the two rings looked when they weren't aligned since my E-ring has a unique setting
