Are you going to post your wedding pics on FB??

Melanie, on April 26, 2017 at 9:23 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 68

So I've been debating, I know people who do and don't. I'll post at least a couple, but I haven't decided if I want to post an entire album of all my wedding pics yet. I've see people who do and who don't. What is your plan??

I think the whole album would be overkill. I'll probably send the link I get from my photographer to my parents, In laws, etc..... like people who asked for them. But probably just a handful to social media.

I will not be posting any on facebook for several weeks. And after that, I may only post one or two as an update to my profile or cover photo.

Many people did not know I was engaged until I posted 3 photos from my engagement session. I did not mind. I think it is a personal choice... How open are you? I am not a fan of having everyone on facebook know everything about me.

ETA: we will be sending a link to an online photo gallery to all wedding guests (those who could and could not attend).

I'm only going to post a handful probably. Not sure how I feel about a whole album.

I'm also doing what Jenna is doing. I don't need to post a ton, and I certainly won't post a whole album, but I'll definitely put some of them up!

Fb is how I keep in touch with a lot of my extended family and old Friends who won't be invited, so I'll pay a few pictures. A whole album seems unnecessary, I doubt anyone will care.

I will probably put some up. I'm not having an unplugged event, so I expect that my friends and family will upload some of their own as well.

I doubt I will do a whole album, though.

I actually don't plan on posting any. But I've seen people who post a few. I agree the whole album would be too much.

I will post an album. How many? I don't know yet. I haven't said a word about our engagement on my two social media accounts.

I'm with @Mrs. Fall Bride here! You bet your butt I'll be posting photos on Facebook - our photographers are absoluetely amazing and I want to share one of the most important times of my life with everyone (plus, my family is too large so I couldn't even invite people who I would consider good friends, but they are dying to see pictures).

I sort of think of Facebook as a scrapbook as well and enjoy looking back on moments and photos from years ago.

I will post a few because I like to share my big moments with my friends. I also love scrolling back through my timeline and smiling at the events over the course of the year. Also, I know it is cheesy but I absolutely want my wedding photos to show up in that silly little year-end review that Facebook started doing!

I just started a thread asking about how to handle people posting pictures of your wedding, and now I see this one Smiley smile I know that we want to share a few special highlights from our wedding on FB but not right after, and def not an entire album. Just a few, and maybe a collage of family attended and special moments.

I will probably only post a few favorites. I don't think everyone needs to see every single picture taken that day. I will share the link photographer gives me with family and close friends privately. Some people go overkill.

I will be making an album, not sure how many pictures but definitely my favorites. I feel like this is the easiest way to share pictures with our guests, plus I'm paying for the rights to print and share pictures so why not take advantage of that?

Do what makes you happy... I don't think this is something I would care to ask about. If you want to post them, post them, if not, then don't. Who cares what other people do?

btw, I am not a big social media fan. So I will probably put up one and send the rest to my family by email, or whatever.

I'll post some. Our photographer only allows so many images to be shared via social media. As far as guest, I can not control what they do, and I encourage them to take pictures during the reception.

Sure! I have a lot of friends on there that have offered congratulations and asked about planing. I don't think it's a big deal.
