I’m really on the fence about this one. Part of me thinks it’s a fantastic investment, because it allows you to view the day in a way that you won’t get to see it while you are experiencing it. So basically, you will get to see your wedding through the eyes of your guests. It’s also a great way to immortalize friends and family members during a happy time, which could be really wonderful if there ever comes a day when some of those people are no longer with you. It could also be fun to show your children, if you decide to have them.
The other half of me, however, thinks it’s a huge expense for a video that you may only watch a handful of times or less. It also takes up a lot more time and requires additional planning the day of.
What are your thoughts on the subject? Did you decide to have videography, or are you skipping it? What made you decide that way?

Honestly, that works! As long as someone is hitting record, you'll always have the memory. If your family is nervous about filming maybe see if there is a student who would take a few bucks an hour to shoot some video. In college, a lot of my friends did that for local weddings!
