Are you inviting everyone who asks?

I had so many people at work who asked and I had never really talked to them before. It was so awkward haha. I just told them we had limited space.

OMG thats awesome. I've heard of that - and I strongly regret not doing that the closer i get to my RSVP deadline. I made it a tad early in order to give people an extra few days to be late. Lets be honest theres always a few who forget lol

Haha yes, totally understandable. We are sending our invites in February just because some people forget. If it's close family or friends we'll accept the late reply.

No way. That would blow our budget way out of the water for us. I haven’t had people fish yet so luckily I haven’t had to deal with this.

We wanted a very intimate wedding so we created 3 list (A,B,C) after going thru our A list and some people telling us they won’t be able to make it (based on STD) we then moved to B list and define our actual final guest list for invites. We then later added a few extras from C list. To those who made comments or asks in the beginning we said we would let them know as soon as we define our guest list because we both have big families but we want a wedding of less than 50 guest. It was a polite and honest answer and it worked.

We know if we invited everyone who asked, we wouldn't be able to afford a wedding at all. It's already a push as it is. Anyone else who wants to go can pay for themselves. I won't feel sorry at all. Weddings are expensive.

Absolutely not! Even though we invited 118, most are family and very close friends.

Yes we are doing the dreaded tiered reception lol. None of my college friends are going to be offended when I say "wanna show up at 8 pm for beer and dancing?" so yes! When people ask I say "as long as you don't piss me off between now and then" Smiley xd

We haven’t had too many people ask that weren’t on the list, so it’s been pretty easy

It's been a struggle for me, not my fiance though. He's had to remind me that we have a short reception and a smaller venue. Which I'm glad he reminded me because I use that as an excuse to say no.

No. I’ve had to realize I can’t invite everyone. And the people who are requesting, we are not close and they do not know my fiancé.

No. I’ve been very fair and have been telling people they may not get an invitation because we want to have an intimate wedding. People, surprisingly, have been very understanding.
