Mostly immediate family. My FMIL forced us to invite a few Great Aunts. But otherwise it is immediate family; first cousins, aunts, uncles, etc.

Yep, I invited a ton of family (our guest list is at about 350 people), but the distant relatives don't live close to us so they probably won't show.

I’m inviting two aunts & uncles. FH is apparently inviting as many as 5 of his parents’ cousins. Who FILs swear won’t come but have to invited. We’re having a small wedding of about 30 so I really hope none of the extended family pops up.

A lot of invites for extended family are going out but we are 99.9% sure that none of them will show as they all have kids who will be in school at the time.

We have only invited the immediate family. My side of the family is huge (my grandmother has 10 other siblings and they all have kids and grandkids OMG) so if we would have invited more than just the immediate family we would have had wayyyy too many people.

I'm not inviting all my cousins or all my aunts and uncles since some of them aren't living here in Canada. But, yeah some extended fam are definitely on the list. Generally, the cousins and other fam we really want there are invited.

We are iniving first cousins out of respect but most have had babies recently or are about to have a baby so they most likely won't come. There is like only 2 out of all cousins that I hope come.

I’m including most of our extended family, with limits. My dad’s cousins are a staple at all family events so I’m for sure inviting them. I am, however, not inviting my cousins’ kids. It’ll probably ruffle some feathers, especially since quite a few of my cousins’ kids are about my age. I’m kind of going with the concept of if I was invited to their wedding, they can come to mind. I haven’t personally been invited to a wedding in forever (I’ve gone as my mom’s plus one), so it cuts down on the guest list a little 😉

On my side, I just stopped with first cousins. Since I am not familiar with FH's family (I've met his parents, a grandparents, and aunt/uncle), I think his mom put extended family on the guest list.

Not really. We’re both not very close with the extended family. So we decided to not include them.
