I am not but my FH is. His friend group is from high school but they still act like brothers whenever we do run into them.

Yes. We are living in a different country than most of our friends currently.

Yes! I have a lot of friends who I barely see, but am still very close with even if we only talk once in a blue moon. These are the friends that mean a lot to me.

We kept our list to close friends that we have stayed in contact with in recent years.

Yes. My college roommate who I haven't seen in at least 7 years but we still talk as well as another college friend who I haven't seen in about 5 years. They're still very important to me and I would want them there.

We are having a small wedding, 50 people including us. We each had 24 spots to use as we saw fit (including family, etc). With the exception of 3 people on our list (all family), one cousin he has never met and 2 cousins of his I have not met, all of the invitees are people are are both close to and talk to and/or see regularly and have been part of our lives together. One of his friends is getting a plus one and we won't have met her but he only knows the two of us and is traveling so we made an exception for him.

We decided to only invite those that we both have met and have been there for us since we've been together.

Yes. We have friends who have moved away and we haven't seen in 10 years, but we talk to the frequently, and we are still very close.

We aren't because those closest to us we've either gone to see them recently or they came to see us.

Yes. Some not all. I’m not inviting the ones that I haven’t talked to in all the years since I’ve seen them. I have a few others that I haven’t seen in years that I’m still not inviting but that’s because I know it’s not feasible for them to make it.

Unlikely on this one, but not impossible.

Yes a few. Just because we have not seen them face to face in awhile, doesn't mean they're not important. It's also hypocritical to say friends you haven't seen in 6 months are first to be cut when people are expected to invite every relative regardless of how long there has been contact.

Yes I'm inviting my college friends! Even though some of us haven't seen each other in 4+ years, we still talk and they were so important to me that I can't imagine not including them. We all live in different cities so it's OK we don't get to meet up much. I'm also inviting a group of childhood friends who I see about once a year. I haven't really made any close friends in my "adult" life that I would consider inviting.

Yes, because we're still close emotionally, they just live in another country... and they made the effort to come, which I appreciate. Especially my best friend from high school who came with a 2 months old baby ! !!
