Hey ladies! I'm indecisive on whether I want to do invitations by email or if I want to actually mail out invitations. I know most will end up throwing away the invitations after the wedding but you really never know. I know I usually keep things like that and put them up on my living room stands, but then doing invitations by email would save me more money. I'm also scared if some people won't receive them by email. Can you ladies help a girl out!?

Which website did you use for them to rsvp online?

I handed most of the invitations to the guests personally, and sent the rest by mail.

I'm interested in this! How did you set up a phone for text message RSVPs?

I’m mailing invitations but they are a little less traditional in that I only have the invite and a details card that includes a QR code which will direct people to my website on Zola to RSVP. I didn’t do the inserts where people mail them back to me.

Hey! I had an old phone that I do not use anymore. I set up a text now app and put that number on the RSVP along with the website. I just wanted it to be 2 ways to RSVP just case someone did not know how to use the website.

We did mostly digital invites and a few by mail for parents, older friends/family that were used to the traditional option. We saved so much money by going this route and I was able to get some really nice physical invitations that wouldn't have been in the budget had we sent them to everyone.

We did traditional invites that were mailed out but the RSVP was entirely online. We included the RSVP info right on the invite so we didn't need to print any additional cards.

I had the same reservations about buying traditional invitations when I was planning my wedding, because I thought that they were unnecessary thanks to e-vites, and that the money could be spent better elsewhere. However, after talking to some people that went the online route, almost all of them regretted not having a physical invitation to have as a keepsake. In addition to that, after doing some research, I realized that invitations weren't as expensive as I originally thought. I scoured tons of different websites, and ended up choosing MagnetStreet, because they had the template that I fell in love with: https://www.magnetstreet.com/shop/wedding-invitations

Another more practical reason that I would go with physical invitations is that with email invites, there are plenty of people who either might miss the email, or not know how they work, like some of your older guests who aren't as tech savvy.

Hi!! I had originally ordered mine online and sent them in the mail. Some took weeks to get to the destination. Our wedding got postponed due to covid from October 2021 to june 2022 and we just made a facebook group and email and sent the new invitation that way. It was way faster since most people have social media and easier because we could share the link to our website.

You can always do both! We will be mailing traditional invitations to important family members like parents, grandparents, and saving one for keepsake. We are sending out an email and text rsvp to everyone else since the majority of our guest are tech savvy.

Hi, I am sending my wedding and rehearsal invitations out via mail, however I created a QR code for my guest to scan to RSVP. This is a way to save money on stamps and a RSVP card.

Question: how do guests rsvp if they aren’t familiar with using QR codes? Many people have no problem sending an email or filling out a GoogleForm but avoid QR codes for various reasons
