Arm exercises?

Virginia, on January 6, 2020 at 11:53 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 7

What arm exercises have been working for people without loosing anything in the chest? I want to tone my arms a bit for a better look in my dress!

FH got me a punching bag for an early Christmas present so this is week 4 of boxing in my garage 2x a week. The other 2or 3 days a week I lift weights using a website that has free videos. Www.fitnessblender.com I paid $10 for a 5week program so the workouts are already scheduled for me. A lot of chest flys, close rows, tricep extensions, bicep curls, hammer curls. I cant help you with any gym suggestions because I workout at home. But i would recommend kickboxing and strength training.

So it’s not really possible to spot tone areas of your body. Doing arm workouts like lifting weights will increase muscle and make you stronger but without losing fat along with it your arms may not look different. Also what areas of your body you lose fat from is mostly based on genetics. I would find a workout program that you enjoy because everyone is different.

I meant to add that I feel very top heavy. I think I have wide shoulders and my arms are kind of big. It makes me feel plump. My problem areas are my arms, slight double chin & mama pooch. Im trying to focus on toning arms and losing weight so I can lose some of the pooch and gain toned arms. I really want to add straps to my dress because the strapless makes me feel so wide on top.

I started going to the gym about a year a half ago. I only go 2x a week and my arms look amazing. I always hated my arms. I lost about 85lbs so i had a lot of lose skin. Now i like the way their looking. I'm not buff but way better than before. I have an arm day and the 2nd day i combine back with leg day. The arms i do like arm curls and ill grap a weight and dumbell pullover. I'll also so something call rows on the cable machine. A lot of the machines have pictures of what each machine targets. Don't think i'm in there for hours, i'm not. And i haven't gotten big so don't be scared. A woman has to literally live in the gym to get super muscular. Also don't be scared to try protein shakes. I drink those and havent seen any weight gain. Hope this helps.

Girl, when you figure it out let me know. lol The only thing that makes my arms smaller is losing weight in general but when I do that, it usually leaves my chest first. All genetics. Push up bra and chest contouring will be my go to's.

Count macros, lift weights (low weight, high reps) and get lean is the only way anyone's body is going to look "toned".
