It'll take probably 2 months before you can start noticing a real difference. Focus on muscle building, rather than losing weight to have define arms. Plus building muscle mass will speed up your metabolism

You can't spot reduce- keep doing what you're doing- you're on the right path.

If you aren't lifting weights though- you should be. Make sure you include strength/resistance training to your program.

Try exercises that focus on your arms, cardio and eating healthy. It takes time but you'll get there.

I recommend yoga. Great for toning arms and more fun than lifting weights.

Swimming will tone you up for sure. If you can't do that, try weights and push ups. Good luck.

I love the below arm workout, I literally feel the burn. I do it twice a week and my arms and shoulders have some really nice definition. That being said I have a petite upper body (although my a$$ and thighs are anything but). I use 5 and sometimes 8lbs for this video:

I'd beg to differ on yoga vs weights- which is why I wouldn't ever just say "it's more fun than" that's not really fair to people.

People need to sort out for themselves what they enjoy doing. There are plenty of options to get you where you need to go.

I do yoga as a necessary evil as a dancer and for mobility on my lifts. But above all- I love lifting weights- I'm a power lifter it's what I do. There is no way in my world where yoga is more fun than weights. Ever.

Make sure when you're lifting, that you're lifting more than 5lbs. You get results by pushing your muscles to fatigue with each lift. Full-body strength training workouts will increase muscles faster, causing you to lose body fat, which, in turn, will make you look more toned.

I have the same issue. I once lost kind of a lot of weight and my trainer at the time told me that everyone loses weight in different places in a different order. Unfortunately for us, our arms must be one of the last places. So even if your arms are toned underneath, which they probably are, it might not show until you've lost a lot more weight. I hate it because I feel like overall I'm happy with the rest of my body at a significantly higher weight than that at which I'm happy with my arms (which I've never actually reached!). Anyway, don't get discouraged and keep shedding the weight and you'll get there!

Lifting weights is always a good option. If you have a weights at home I definitely suggest www.fitnessblender.com It's my favorite wotkout video site and it's all free. They have all lengths and kinds of workouts. I've seen a lot of people get great results with those. If you are lifting weights, start with what challenges you. If that is only 5 lbs to start that is okay. A good rule of thumb is using a weight that makes you struggle to finish your last couple of reps in a set. But not so much weight that you lose your good form to finish the set. Then, you can feel It out for when that weight isn't enough.

If you don't have weights at home, adding any kind of push ups will help tone your arms and will also work the rest of your body (one of the best total body bodyweight exercises). And this can bring great toning results as well as long as you continue to challenge yourself. If regular pushups are too easy, you could try a different kind like diamond or elevated. Or you can add repititions to keep your body progressing.

    Good luck with it!

You could also try doing a wrap on your arms. Do you know anyone who does them? I know people post about them on my Facebook all the time and say you can do them anywhere below the neck.

Lift weights. Focus on your arms (curls, pulldowns, rows, etc). Make sure you're eating healthy too and you'll eventually get there

Find a local cardio kickboxing/boot camp club. Def. will get results faster than lifting on your own, both weight loss and muscle tone. Groupon seems to always have deals. I know a lot of girls who "groupon hop"; basically buy the $10 month or whatever it is, then when its up, go onto the next Groupon deal for a month.

Someone already said it but its worth repeating. You cant spot reduce. But cardio will only do so much. You need to tone. That means lifting weights. biceps and Triceps work is key.
