We just booked Bucuti and Tara Resorts in Aruba!

I've been to a destination wedding in Jamaica at Rose Hall something. It was nice, but the beach was just OK IMO, kind of small.

I've been to both and loved both. They are quite different though. Jamaica is more lush and you have beautiful rainforests, gorgeous mountains, and plenty of adventure options. If you go to Jamaica, I love Couples Negril (and all the other Couples resorts get great reviews). They are all inclusive (and include some excursions and spa) and tend to be less expensive than Sandals.

Aruba is arid and windy. It is great for family fun, party atmosphere (off resort) and awesome little restaurants and cool little coves (but you'll want a car a few days).

If you prefer to stay on resort with a more romantic vibe or get out and do adventure excursions, I would go for Jamaica.

If you want to get out and about, aren't afraid of driving a bit, and enjoy a general party atmosphere (most of the hotels are on a walkable main strip - think miami beach style) then Aruba is fantastic. I stayed at the Hilton and Playa Linda and both were nice (though Playa Linda is definitely family and older crowd).

For honeymoon - I would personally choose Jamaica over Aruba.

Jamaica! We were going to do our wedding at Sandals Ochi. Had to change plans due to family illness.
