Asking Brothers to walk me down the aisle

Stephanie, on August 21, 2018 at 1:49 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 3
So unfortunately I do not have a relationship with my father (he’s just a toxic person to have around) so because of that I do not want him at my wedding. I want to ask my two brothers to walk me (ages 11 and 18). But I don’t wanna just be like hey can you do this? I want it to be special and do like a proposal box type thing..any suggestions?? Also I don’t live in the same state as them so can’t really do anything in person

I would get them each a thoughtful, personal gift that suits them (not something for the wedding, but something that they would appreciate as people) and write them each a letter. I think at the end of the day the letter would mean more. Smiley smile

Hi Stephanie! I think this is such a sweet idea to have your brothers walk you down! I would say to each get them a small, thoughtful gift, something that you would get them for their birthdays! Then write a nice card asking them if they would do you the honor of escorting you!

I definitely agree with getting them something small and thoughtful. It is difficult with them being so far away, but that paired with a meaningful letter will mean all the world to them.
