Asking Son to be Best Man

Your fiance picks his best man, not you. You don't need gifts at all to ask them. Just ask without anything else so it doesn't come across as pressuring to say yes.

You could totally make a cute box for him! And don’t worry I had to pick out the gift for my fiancé’s best man too because he’s awful at that stuff. I went with a glass that says best man. But what if you did a box with maybe some cologne, maybe cuff links?, you could do a glass too he doesn’t have to use it for alcohol?, a watch? I’m thinking stuff related to the big day but also somethings he could use on other special occasions too?

I know we don't NEED the gifts and I'm not talking about anything big or anything like that, but I do want to make it a special moment for them cuz it is a big deal.

If u make the box yourself I would include a card inside with a handwritten note from his dad asking him! That’s what I had my fiancé do and I’m pretty sure that was the best part

I like the idea of a box with some things that are personal to the best man and may even include things that he could use even after the wedding. Are the gentlemen in the wedding wearing ties? If so, I'd suggest a tie patch (that goes inside the tie) or a tie clip with some special saying that the best man would wear on the day of the wedding.

I understand. When we changed our big wedding (250 people) to a micro wedding (20 people), we didn't have a wedding party for that very reason!
