At a loss for the Father / Daughter dance - help!

I don't know if it's too sappy for you (I'm guessing it probably will be), but I'm using "Daddy Dance With Me" by Krystal Keith.

But honestly..anything that's not Butterfly Kisses...so overused!

Ask your father. Mine picked The Weight by the Band and it was awesome.

@Lara P, I asked my dad to pick one, he refused. I bawled during "My Wish" when searching so I knew that was the one. #Nouglycrying

Humble and kind by Tim mcgraw. I gave my step dad a list of songs and he chose that one

Ask him. My dad and step dad both picked the songs I would dance with them to. It was one less things that I had to worry about and my dad had always envisioned dancing with me to a certain song.

I would start narrowing down the list by checking into an artist that your father has always loved, then choose a song from there.

My dad loves Van Morrison and used to play his cd's all the time so I chose 'have I told you lately '. Sweet and simple song.

I concur with asking your dad. He might be able to pick a song that sums up your relationship well. I used Phil Collins' "You'll Be in My Heart", but ours was a combined father/daughter and mother/son dance, so we couldn't do anything "dad specific".

I think I'm using What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. Not sappy father/daughter and my father is old so need a song that he knows (nothing even close to "modern").

I loved her first- Heartland. Love this song!

We're dancing to "Little Miss Magic" by Jimmy Buffett. Certainly not traditional, but I grew up listening to that song with my dad so it seemed only fitting

I'm having the same problem. I'm my father's daughter through and through, but the available songs just don't suit us. Maybe some of the suggestions in this thread will help us both.

We did Rainbow Connection by the Carpenters because he used to play it for me as a little girl.

Dad picked Let The Rest of The World Go By (Gene Autry). He used to sing it to me as a kid.
