Athens, Ga area seamstress

EvansEternity, on August 11, 2019 at 9:23 AM Posted in Georgia Planning 0 3
I’m looking for suggestions for a seamstress in the Athens area to get a second opinion on dress alterations. I was quoted $613 to hem and take in my dress. Bustle is not included. The seamstress told me that she has to take off the bearing of the dress and it’s a lot of work. I totally understand but I would like a second opinion. I wanted to add cap sleeves as well but it’s an extra 200.00.

I think for a wedding dress that's the cheapest you're going to get. I'm surprised it's not much more than that if she has to take of beading

I’m in Denver and I spent $365 on cap sleeves, hem, bustle, and bra inserts. But I also don’t know how involved your dress is. It sounds like taking beading off would be very tedious.

    Hey there Smiley smile

Does the store where you got your dress have any recommendations for a seamstress? They often know of some local seamstresses who do great work from their experience!

I would also recommend you check out Yelp! It's a really helpful place to find seamstresses and there are often previous customer reviews which are insightful.
