Save! I saved a TON of money because I bought my dress from another bride. It's brand new without alterations and was exactly what I wanted! Our budget was $2,000 for it, but I came in way under that. We got FH's suit during a sale for only $129.99!

In between. My FH is using a suit he already has, and my dress was actually less expensive than I thought it was going to be.

Save - We are paying for my dress, my accessories, groom's attire and accessories, flower girl dress, ring bearers outfit, and ties for groomsmen (since it's a rustic wedding, they are providing their own black dress shirts and slacks). Total cost is $459.

Saved on the suit ($70 on a nice suit with $10 alterations), technically we saved on my dress because my mom refused to let us pay for it, but still a splurge because it was $400 over budget after alterations plus I spent $119 on my boots (which was kind of a save in the long run because they are cowgirl boots that I got an extra discount on because I told them they will be my shoes for our wedding which was really cool of them to do)

Saved. I didn’t spend a lot on my dress and he bought a suit that wasn’t very expensive.y shoes I can wear again and I already had beautiful jewelry so we kept that part of our budget low.

Saving. My fiance budgeted $1000 for my dress, and while I haven't gone to try dresses on yet, the dress I am in love with is $450. I'm getting a super simple veil and sandals and having our florists make me something to wear in my hair. My fiance said that every man should own a black suit so he's having his guys just wear a suit they already own. He is wearing his own suit as well. The guys will wear white dress shirts and we will probably buy them the ties to match the girls dresses.

That was the goal to save money on my dress, did not happen lol. I ended up falling in love with a dress that was too over my budget. Let it go and went to Davids bridal to buy a real cheap dress. Never loved it. Found my dream dress more cheap on a used dress site. I couldn't resist and i bought it. I am a little mad i spent that much but those pictures will be with me forever so why not lol.

A bit of both...my dress was from David's bridal and was pretty affordable. His tux cost a bit more than we had expected it to, but he deserves to look good too

    SAVE!

Got my dress at a sample sale for $199 - 90% off retail price. Alterations were a minor splurge, but that was to make it fit.

Our BP was big enough and required enough tuxes that DH ended up paying nothing for his tux... and used his savings to take a smidge off everyone else's. The BMs picked a moderately priced dress, one altered her own, one didn't need altering, and I think the third just got her's hemmed a wee bit.

...My father, however, went all out, bought a totally new (purple!!) tux, and a top hat, because he wanted to look Properly Fancy for his only child's wedding. He did, in fact, look fabulous.

Definitely save. For me, I'm looking for a nice cheap wedding dress for under 600 dollars. I don't care much for the dress. I just want it to be nice and presentable. Same for the bridesmaids and groomsmen. I told the groomsmen to make sure they don't splurge on their suits because it wouldn't be necessary. I don't want anyone breaking the bank for a one day event!!

A combination of both, if you're considering pre-wedding event attire as well… I totally saved when it came to my bridal shower, bachelorette, and rehearsal dinner outfits. As far as my wedding dress, I splurged… ended up spending $1,800 (alterations included). FH rented his suit for $220 - which apparently is expensive too, but it's a nice Calvin Klein!

For me and my girls, Save! my girls' dresses are under $100 each and mine is $300 with custom sizing.

For the boys, SPLURGE! kilts are expensive, especially when you have a lesser known tartan coming in at $350 before sporrans, kilt socks, flashes & jackets.

My mom very generously paid for my dress and veil, but I'm planning to splurge on accessories and FH's suit.
