August!! You are right on schedule. I have the major tasks done too. I would rather have things done early rather than rushing even though I know there will be last minute items. Keep going!! We got this!!

I’ll be August 11!! By next weekend we will have a venue with the catering and all that. Picking between two but both come with the cake so that’s good! We also already have DJ, photographer, videographer, and ceremony pianist. One of the venue also comes with all the flowers so that would take care of florist if we go with them. Dress will be next!

I'm in September, but kinda close lol. Your completed list looks good so far! Does your venue include caterer? Are you planning on a photographer, videographer, or hair and makeup? If yes, you can work on some of that stuff! Congratulations!

We’re August 3rd! So far we have venue, photographer, florist, and DJ locked down for sure. Oh and officiant, we checked that off this weekend. We’re about ready to order save the dates and we’re talking to a cake baker! Currently looking for a makeup artist and my dress is next on the list. I would’ve gone dress shopping sooner but I’ve been waiting for my best friend to get back from Taiwan to come with me!

    I’m also August 17th!
We have venue with caterer, DJ, florist, photo and video, photo booth, ice cream sundae vendor, dress, save the dates out and I’ve started on bridal party gifts with Black Friday and cyber Monday!
Also started buying the little things, card box, toasting glasses, and cake topper.
Next is cake, rings and bridal party attire!

I am at the end of September. So far, I have got my dj, venue, caterer, DOC, HMU lady, and photographer.. I’m stressing over the smaller stuff because my fiancé thinks it’s best to buy our ceremony essentials in bulk where as I believe we should buy one or two things through out the year. I’m getting anxiety about it and making lists of things we will need constantly.. did I mention I start nursing school in three weeks 🥶

    August 10th!!
We have our venue (all inclusive), officiant, my dress/veil, his suit jacket and shoes (still needs pants and shirt), groomsmen suits and bridesmaid dresses have been picked out, photobooth, HMUA, honeymoon is booked, and STDs have been mailed out.
We have a meeting with a photographer and florist we'd like to book and our tasting at the end of the month. We're going to lock in our DJ by the end of the week.
The bakery we'd like to get our cake from said we can come in the Spring for a cake tasting.

I am getting married in August too on the 16th. We have all vendors booked, I have my ring, the dress will be here in February, my save the dates are out, and invites are currently being printed. It's been a busy month or two with planning. Lol! We got engaged September 28th and I wanted to hurry up so that I could take a break. I still need to have my trial for hair and make up as well as schedule a tasting with our caterer, but that can wait until early next year. I think you are doing great. Smiley smile

I am behind but I feel like it will be easy enough to catch up! It was difficult for us to find a venue due to travel so it took us a while to pick, but now we’re hitting the ground running. Save the dates are ordered and going out and I’m looking at booking DJ and photographer. Our friend is going to offficiate so that’s done. Next up dress shopping!

I’m August 4th! I think you’re right on schedule. I’ve had a long engagement so I’ve got all my major vendors: venue, caterers, DJ, photographer, day of coordinator, hairstylist, event rentals, my dress, invitations have been ordered but not yet sent out, DIY decor has been started but not yet completed. Next up is an officiant for us!

We don't have an official date yet, but we're hoping for August of this year.

We only just got engaged - he proposed on NYE, so we're going to do this fast.

Fortunately, we know the ceremony venue and the officiant - his home parish in NYC, so that at least narrows down some things and focuses us.

On the other hand, oooooh, this is going to be tough!

Venue searching, budget decisions, and everything else kind of need to happen all at once. *deep breaths*

You are doing awesome! I am August 31. We have venue, DJ, STD out, dress, florist, photographer, videographer, HMUA, and planner. We also have done our food tasting and engagement photos already. We have booked our honeymoon. Thankful that FH is planning that. We are currently thinking on which officiant we want, based on the ones we talked to. I am also working on bridesmaid dresses right now. Invitations and floral design meeting will be in the next 1-2 months for us. Smiley smile

Hi there! I am stuck on which venue to pick. I know I need to get a move on it quick so I can send out save the dates.

Did you pick the venue yourself instead of using a planner? How did you know the Right ONE?

Hi there! Venue was pretty easy for us we knew what we were looking for (somewhere in the mountains, options for outdoor ceremony & indoor/outdoor reception) I looked up a bunch of places and we ended up really narrowing it down and only looking at 2 in person. It really came down to what price was best for us and the convenience of one over the other for our guests (hotels near by and within the same area as the majority of our guests) if you’re stuck on venues honestly what helped me was making a pros & cons list. Think of all the things that are included with the venues too. For example our venue is owned by a really good catering company so we didn’t have to worry about a caterer, they also provide chairs, tables, linens and basically anything we might have to rent. Plus we think our venue is already so beautiful we don’t have to do much decorating which also saves us a little money! I hope this helps!

Thanks. I’m going to do my pros and cons list! I’m ready to move on and plan the rest of the wedding so I need to finalize the venue.

We are planning a August 10th 2019 wedding.
Very excited things are coming together quicker then I thought. We already have a venue booked my dress willl be here in February. We got a catering company. And bartender. We are just looking for a dj now.
Been buying things such as plastic champagne glasses easy enough to just throw away afterwards. Centerpieces I’m making out of corkscrews.. purchased dishes and cups. We are so excited we can’t wait...

It's so neat to have a place where we can talk about our weddings!

I love hearing about people planning for the same time as me.

    Wedding date: 8/17/19

Done so far: Venue (ceremony & reception), DJ, Photographer, Dress, STD's, DIY invitations started.

It feels like the more I think about it, the more there is still to do though, lol.
