August 2020 wedding?

Annabel, on March 27, 2019 at 9:19 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 2

We are moving our date to August due to the venue being cheaper that month and some of our guests not in school yet (college students, teachers). We are looking at the last two weekends in August to do it however, I would like any thoughts and suggestions before we decide on a date! Our wedding venue will be in Tennessee, closer to the forest, river, & NC state line - the venue is a rustic barn with indoor cooling and we will have a 30 minute outdoor ceremony. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

If you are concerned about teachers being there, I would talk to them and see if they have any idea when school is going to start and if they have meetings beforehand that might take place on the weekends.

If you are worried about heat during the outdoor ceremony, you could consider doing it in the evening or under some trees for shade! You could also provide guests with lemonade, ice water, or fans to cool themselves off! Otherwise, I would think they should be alright for 30 minutes!

I am having a TN outdoor wedding on August 29, 2020 and am pretty concerned about the heat, as well. Fingers crossed for tolerable weather and a nice breeze! Smiley smile

We are thinking of printing programs on handheld fans for guests.
