August 2020 weddings not postponed?

Hi brides!! I am still planning on getting Married August 8, 2020 And wanted to know if anyone else still was getting married in August and what their weddings looking like? Nothing will stop me from marrying my man that day, bc that’s truly the only thing I care about, I just want to make sure...
Hi brides!! I am still planning on getting Married August 8, 2020 And wanted to know if anyone else still was getting married in August and what their weddings looking like? Nothing will stop me from marrying my man that day, bc that’s truly the only thing I care about, I just want to make sure whatever we do to celebrate keeps everyone safe. Our venue has kept reassuring us that they will be able to hold our reception safely (the venue holds 1000 and we are expecting around 125) so SUPER spaced out. I don’t mind wearing a mask and not dancing on top of one another but I can’t help to feel that guilt for not postponing. Anyone else in the same boat ?

    I’m getting married on August 30th outside of Philly. We also did not want to postpone although many family members were encouraging us to. It’s just not what WE wanted. And who knows if COVID will be over next summer. There is no guarantee!! Our venue can hold 150 with covid restrictions which is no problem. We invited 125 guests but only 74 are attending. So I don’t think there will be an issue with distancing. Wearing masks will be weird, but it is what it is! Hopefully not too uncomfortable with the August heat. Our venue is flexible with having indoor/outdoor wedding celebrations so we will do a mix of both with ceremony + cocktails outside, and reception indoors.

    Wedding is this Saturday 8-15-2020 from 100 guest to an intimate 36. It will be lovely regardless of size. Ladies where are my wedding date buddies !???❤️❤️❤️

    We’re getting married on the same day. There will only be eight of us there though but we have a beautiful outdoor venue with redwood trees backdrop.

    Did your venue charge you for postponing? If so, was it a percentage of your contracted amount or a flat fee?

    Hey! I got married 8/29 outside of Philly too! We did not postpone and went through with our whole thing with a different venue because our first one is not open! We had 65 guests, and it was a great day!
