August 2021 Brides

Me and my fiancé planned our wedding for 8/14/2021. All we have done so far is book our venue... I think I may hire a wedding planner because I’m a little overwhelmed 😩

My wedding is August 14th, 2021. Hooding we don’t need to move ours either. Planning is slow right now with so much time. How’s yours going?

August 28th, 2021!


We’ve been engaged since summer 2019, so a lot of the major planning is done already. Still need decor, florals, and a cutting cake. But I’m putting that off because really, I didn’t even want a wedding. We wanted to elope. But a wedding was very important to our families so here we are. That being said, since we do have to have a wedding, we are doing a supppper non-traditional wedding (let’s just say, my dress is black) and our families are making things so difficult because it’s not “the wedding they imagined for us”. My mom and I used to be so close and now we argue every single time the wedding comes up so I feel like I can’t ever talk to her about it. She said to me that I’m “taking her wedding experience away” by not inviting her sister to the parents/grandparents/sibling only ceremony. None of our aunts (who we were both close with before) will talk to us about wedding stuff. Are any of you experiencing this too? What’re you doing to help limit your stress related to dealing with family members??

View Quoted Comment I hired a month-of planner and made myself a binder for all of the major stuff. So far our planner has been super helpful and it was cheaper than hiring a full wedding planner. Food for thought good luck!!

August 21, 2021 planning! We have our venue, caterer, and DJ. Working on our engagement shoot as well as florist.

We also plan on staying in the country for our honeymoon, which sucks but we'll make the best of it!

Ahhhh Wedding Date Twin!

August 7th, I'm planning, but then I get in my head about the fact that all this planning may be for nothing as I'm not convinced we won't have to wear masks next year in which case I wouldn't have a reception at all. Focusing on the next step which is getting engagement photos done!

Wow, I don't feel so alone about struggling with Honeymoon planning now! That being said, we have all the big stuff nailed down (venue, caterer, DJ, dress, etc.). Having a hard time deciding on centerpieces though.

Our wedding is set for August 28 so far We have our venue booked our dj our photographer a photo booth and I said yes to the dress and FH has his suit. I need to start looking for our officiant and our cake next

View Quoted Comment Not sure how set you are on having your transportation look nice (limo, party bus, etc) but you could consider a school bus if you're looking for cheaper transportation. That's what we are doing and its so much cheaper than the rates I got for limos etc. Plus I'm a teacher so we're going to use it for pictures also. Just an idea!

We got married in a small ceremony August 7th and will have the reception Aug 6, 2021. Because we postponed two months out from our day most things are taken care of in terms of planning. We got really lucky that we only had to replace one vendor - the rest were able to accommodate our new date.

Well I wouldn't mind having a lil push and help right now. Honestly. I'm stuck 😔

Still have so much planned to do ugh

It’s going pretty good. I’m an August 14, 2021 Bride. Venue, photographer, DJ and Wedding day transportation planned. Making cake tasting rounds to finalize soon, designing center pieces / purchased items and in the process of deciding rather to purchase or have my dress made. Looking at fabric this week. 🥰🙂🥰

We have everything booked except for the cake and the flowers. I am holding off and taking a pause from planning with all of this CRAZYness with the pandemic we are unsure if our wedding will happen. We are setting contingency plans incase we are not able to have the wedding we want. 2/3s of our guests are out of towners so we are concerned about travel as well as safety precautions. My venue which is absolutely LOVELY is not implementing safe social distancing. I also do not want to have a wedding with EVERYONE in masks. I want to see all the beautiful faces. Unfortunately, I do not know if everything will be back to tip top shape come next August. At least not in our city.

I’m in August 14th! I’m hoping I won’t have to postpone.

August 7 2021 Bride!! Our planning is going well so far! Our Venue is booked! Cake booked! Planner, DJ Booked! I just started my dress making process because I am getting both my wedding and reception dresses custom made! We are now in the process of sending our our save the dates! So we’re excited!!
