August 27th, 2022 Brides

For me it's going extremely well! At this point I'm waiting on a flower cost estimate, need to contact who I would like as bridesmaids, get my save the dates/invites and decide on whether to order the tiara I want on Etsy or not.

Pretty well so far! The wedding party is almost set (we've confirmed bridesmaids and groomsmen but not flower girls/ring bearers), my dress and my mom's dresses are ordered, I'm about 2 weeks from confirming bridesmaids dresses, venue/caterer/decor/photo and video are all deposited. I've sent out save the dates and getting ready to order sample invites now. Oh, and also got my room block and wedding website set for ur destination wedding. It's definitely overwhelming but I like to start early

It's going pretty well! My date isn't until August of 2023 but with COVID causing people to push their weddings back I'm trying to secure as much as I can early.

I already have the venue/photographer booked. I am, also, talking to a decorator/florist today. Hopefully we can get a pricing option from them that's not too expensive.

I'm having a hard time finding a videographer since the person we thought we had didn't realize he already had a wedding at the same time as ours. I've contacted quite a few people and everyone seems to be booked!

When I first got engaged I was excited and couldn’t wait to get the planning process started. Since then there have been so many things that have happened that I’m not even happy about planning the wedding anymore. My future mother-in-law suddenly passed away two weeks ago and that has hit hard for me and my fiancé. She helped pick out my dress and I will always cherish that day with her. Plus, we are less than 11 months away and we still don’t have a venue! 😭 We are on a tight budget and all of the venues around us in NC start at $5,000, which is the total budget for our wedding 🤦‍♀️ I have been so stressed that I start getting chest pains the moment someone brings up the subject of a wedding venue. I love my fiancé so much and I can’t wait to marry him! I just wasn’t expecting that I would end up dreading planning my own wedding 😭

Are you familiar with the blog/book “A Practical Wedding?” She has some lovely things to say about grief while planning. And as far as venue goes, to get in budget, are there any “uglier” or non-wedding-specific venues you can choose that are maybe not perfect, but will fit all the people, then maybe you can get some pretty pictures in a different location? Also calling a local parks + recs agency might get you some ideas that aren’t online. Sending love and care.

YAY! Hi August 2022 Bride Fam

We've got the venue, band, catering and photography booked - feeling much better that the heavy hitters are done for us. Next on the agenda - sending out bridal party proposals and getting all the dang addresses for our guest list for the save-the-dates.

Next chunk of vendors will be the florist, hair/makeup and the attire! Anyone else not looking forward to dress shopping lol I kinda want to go alone and surprise everyone with a big reveal

I'm doing pretty good! I've got most of my stuff booked at this point. Have definitely spent more than we planned but it's alright!

We are finalizing our payments to vendors. We are 14 days away from our wedding! I just hope we have everything we need decor wise! I’m getting so excited to see how everything just comes together. I still need the jewelry for myself and finalizing our music list with the dj. But I think we chose really great vendors and people to work with. I don’t think anything can happen to make us unhappy that day. 🤞🏼

I was planning for a cruise wedding 2023 and it got canceled!! Planning ahead will do you wonders, I'm right behind you with booking everything asap.
