Hi my fellow brides these days have been crazy. I know it’s a whole lot to take in and super stressful. Our wedding is scheduled for 8/9/2020 and we’ve decided to resume our planning as schedule especially since our venue only foresees us getting married as planned. But it has not been easy and I’m experiencing a lot of mixed emotion about our wedding. I’m curious to know how everyone else are taking this in. Especially those getting married in August and September. I would love to know how you all are handling the situation I feel somewhat alone in this mess.😣

We are having an October wedding. And I can't help but want to postpone to next year just to be on the safe side and still get an October date. How did you tell your guests? A new save the date?

My wedding is rescheduled for 8/9 and I was thinking (restriction dependent, of course) but maybe the first part of my reception be a dinner with my family since they are older and then they clear out and my friends come for the second part of the reception. That way both parts of the reception are most likely under 50 people and the more vulnerable are separated from the younger. Our venue is big enough to space people 6 feet apart as well. Is that a good idea? I’m trying to be optimistic at this point..

My wedding was scheduled for August 22, 2020 but we officially postponed to July 31, 2021. I couldnt take the waiting any longer and my bridal shower/bachelorette did not seem like they would happen. I live in Los Angeles where the restrictions are still pretty strict. I do feel relieved! Sad but relieved. We actually decided to elope July 31, 2020! That way we'll have the same date as the actual wedding. I didnt like the idea of having two different dates, personally.

My wedding was supposed to be in sepetember, and right before all this happened I had just sent out save the dates. Well a few days ago I was able to contact Vista print and they refunded me my credit. So I will be getting new ones that say " Save the New Date" , and I might add a piece of paper saying why.

My fiancé and I decided to postpone today to Fall 2021. We were going to wait until June to decide but we figured why wait to decide the inevitable. We knew that we can’t safely have our dream wedding. I feel relieved that We decided but also sad. I don’t think it has really hit us yet. I am not looking forward reaching out to our vendors, as it will make it real. 😭😭😭

I had originally had my wedding planned for October 3rd, 2020. I had about 103 guests coming.. when I heard there may be a second wave of this in Fall, I actually pushed my wedding up to August 16th, and completely cut my guest list down to 15 friends and family. HUGE CUT, I KNOW. BUT, it’s the people who REALLY matter MOST to you that make the day magical. And I don’t regret our decision at all. And family was very understanding. Safety is #1 priority and everyone seemed to appreciate it!

I’m getting married August 2nd (postponed from June) and it is super stressful. Here in MA were reopening super slow which I feel like has taken the excitement of wedding plan away and filled it with anxiety. I have postponed my bridal shower four times pans have canceled my bachelorette party. We have already waited 2.5 years to be married so even thinking of waiting another makes me sick. I have a back up date for next year as a just Incase but really hoping August will pull through. I hope it works out for all of us!!!

How many guests do you have? I am a Michigan September bride with 300 guests invited and am not feeling great that we will be able to have that many come September

Well, I talked to our venue today just to get a feeler, and they told us we can't postpone. 🤷‍♀️ Choice made for us. Seems like Texas will be ok though.

Our guest list is about 100 people. We're still playing it by ear and have already told people we may have to postpone, so we're planning to just move ahead and make a final call in July before the invitations go out.
