We figured 5 months was plenty of time. Now here we are, almost in May and we are really torn on what to do. I in my heart feel like it may work out for our August date, but still we are not sure. I really don't want to wait until 2021, but we also don't want to have a small wedding (Ive been dreaming of this my whole life!) Anyone else in the same boat?!

    Hi!

So I’m curious if you know what medium sized gatherings would be? I’ve tried to locate it on the CDC website but can’t. My venue is insisting they can have a 200 person wedding in August in Maryland. I really don’t think it can happen and I’ve beem trying to postpone. But since they believe they will be able to do it they won’t allow me too. They said I can cancel and pay all of the fees if I don’t want to wait.

So we have officially made the decision to reschedule to July of 2021, NY is no shape to hold events any time soon and I just couldn’t deal with the uncertainty anymore. I am heartbroken but also relieved. I just pray next year we can having the wedding we will have then been planning for over two years 😂 oh and by then we will have been together for 9 years! Good luck to all my future brides I hope we all get what we’ve been dreaming of ❤️

Good Luck to you!! I know for sure we'll all have the wedding we all have been waiting for, if not even better!

I'm August 8 in Baltimore, MD. We just postponed our reception to next April. We are still going to get married this year with our immediate family present!

    Hi Shannon,

I'm also in Maryland, but my venue is not allowing me to postpone, as they still fully believe 250 people will be allowed indoors during a wedding in August. I'm always curious, especially for people in Maryland, how was your venue in handling the situation? When did they officially allow you to postpone?

    Hey Kenzie!

I contacted them in early May and they let me pick a back-up date for them to hold for me until we decided. We had until July 1 to decide what to do but we made the decision last week. Our guest list was only about 115. I'm sorry they won't let you postpone! If you wanna talk, feel free to message me on here! Smiley smile
