August brides

Hello everyone. I’m in a mix of excitement and anxiety for my day. I have the major things like venue, DJ, photographer, florist, honeymoon. I order my favors but had a little issue because some jars came in damaged but I’m working on that. I picked my dress but I have to go for fittings, I have my invitations I’ll send them out by the end of this month or early April. My bridesmaids have their dresses already . My concern is that my fiancé and his groomsmendont have their suit. but I guess is easier for them. I still need to book hair and make up, buy my accessories and hired mariachis for the ceremony piece.

Good job! I have to nail down the cake, flowers, rings, partner formal wear, and invitations. Though I should be done with just about everything by the end of the month. My situation is a bit different because I don't plan on doing a rehearsal dinner (b/c I don't have a bridal party) and I don't plan on having dancing b/c I intend for the event to be a rather intimate affair and my partner and I both don't like to dance.

I love the options Minted has available for invitations. I am going to get mine from there as well (the all in one invite, is my favorite). I feel like its too early to purchase them as well. I think I'm ordering invitations around the end of April/beginning of May and sending out the first week of June.

Congrats My local bridal shop told me that groomsmen attire isn't necessary until the beginning of June!

It’s really 10$ worth not ten in total - but I was able to get 7 shipped to my house so we can look at them in person before we officially choose! Which I think is nice

Hi August brides!!! I can't believe we're at 5 months out! (Almost for me, it'll be exactly 5 months on Sunday!)

August 12th Bride!! Hey date twins

So all the vendors I have booked: venue, honeymoon, hotel, caterer, car, photographer, MUA and DOC.
FH is booking baker and Dj next month.
I have to find someone to do my hair and I’m really dreading a florist.
Going to apply for our marriage certificate Monday. My dress came in two days ago so alterations are up next. My veil and headpiece ordered. Bridesmaids dresses were ordered on Tuesday.
Our STD’s went out last week. Engagement pics scheduled for May. I feel like we’re making good progress but sometimes i feel like there’s still more to do.

I'm just a bit of a crazy overplanner! I'm sure you're fine. It can all get a bit overwhelming though, can't it? So much to do. But lots of time still to do it.

I have my love to keep me warm...

i have a venue and I’m narrowing down on a photographer. Venue covers food and cake thank goodness. It’s got a great garden, a tent and linens so I don’t worry about decorations beyond string lights and Chinese lanterns.

No dress but I have back up plans from previous searches. No DJ recommendations welcome.

I’m African so we have a traditional engagement that needs to be organized for April!

Maybe I need to get a hope and a prayer locked down first?

Hello lovely brides!

My wedding is August 2nd, time is going by so quickly!

I have my venue booked. It is an all-inclusive package so luckily they are taking care of most of the planning! My fiancé and I will be going back to the venue in about a month to choose food for the cocktail hour and reception, the cake, floral for the bouquets and boutonnieres, centerpieces, linens, colors, etc! In a couple months we will begin communicating with both the DJ and the photographer who are both included in the package as well! In about a week, I will be taking my dress in for alterations and my fiancé and I will be meeting with our officiant as well! The bridesmaids have their dresses too! Groom and groomsmen still need their suits.

I still need to book a hair and makeup artist, do DIY decor, purchase wedding dress accessories, purchase the rings, research reception songs, purchase floral for the reception, write vows, order invitations, and...hmm..that's all I can think of right now! I'm sure there will be more I will realize I need to do in the final weeks leading up to the wedding date!

I am also planning our honeymoon right now and will likely be booking it by next week! My fiancé wants to be surprised and wants me to keep the destination a secret until we get to the airport! Keeping it a secret is making it even more fun and exciting to plan!

If anyone has any tips for planning and preparing, I'd love to hear them!

August 10th here! We have our venue/caterer, dj, photographer, videographer, cupcakes. I have my dress and picked out his suit. Just need to order flowers, my daughters dress, and some decorations. We had our tasting today, and we finalized some details for the day. I am meeting an mua and hair stylist in a few weeks. Excited and anxious at the same time.

I have 5 1/2 months to go, feeling calm. Hoping it doesn't change and I start freaking out.
