Hello ladies, August 11th here. I have venue, photographer, dj, cake, catering, tables, chairs, starting centerpieces, working on invitations. Questions what date should I set for the rsvp to be returned by?

All we have left is planning the rehearsal dinner, picking our music for our dj, a florist, and jewlery. We need alterations but we arent starting those until the beginning of August.

If you are willing to take a little risk, I suggest Weekend Wedding Dresses on Etsy. Emmi does a fabulous job, your dress is custom made for you (like you give her your ideas and you design it together) and at least mine was $800, only took a few months and is gorgeous.

Oh hush! I'm August 18 too and I think you are quite far along. If you feel overwhelmed you could ask your venue for a list of suggested vendors. As for me, I still need favors, invitations (so it's good to know I'm not alone), groom outfit (that's his job), photographer and florist/centerpieces.

Sounds like you're doing pretty Good! I wish we had the budget for a videographer too. My dad will be recording the ceremony after walking me down the aisle so at least I'll have that.

I just got engaged on March 15th and we're getting married on August 11, 2018. I have 143 days to the wedding and the only things I have done are finding a venue, picking my colors, scheduling a bridal appointment, and ordering my wedding shoes. I'm freaking out. THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO! Can I just quit my job for a few months so I can plan.....? HaHaHa

The only thing I have left to plan are decorations (centerpieces), hair and makeup and favors. I also need to buy some little things like cake topper and pay for my photographer but I think I'm doing good so far! August 26th Smiley smile

Don't forget those little details for your reception site, like chairs, chargers, centerpieces. Some of those might need to be rented if your place doesn't have them already.

Hair and makeup has been the hardest for me to book. I have a small budget and am having trouble finding options for under $400! That's an outrageous amount of money to spend for me!

Wow seriously?! That's insane. I found my makeup artist through a coworker, her cousin does professional makeup. Have you tried asking friends if they know anyone?

I WAS an August 10th bride, but all the planning (see lists in everyone's posts above) had me so overwhelmed that we decided to toss it all aside and elope! I had gotten a lot done, too, but luckily hadn't written too many deposit checks. Was able to cancel venue, caterer, photographer, and HMU with no financial loss. I'd already paid for most of the cake, so I'll have an awesome birthday cake this year! Still have to see about the florist. I wonder if they could ship my flowers to me.

Anyway, so now I'm starting all over on an August 8th elopement in Key West. Don't let the term "elopement" fool you! Still tons of planning to be done. But this time it feels much more like it's for me and FH and not for everyone else. It makes a world of difference. Smiley smile

August 3rd here! Doing a destination wedding in Jamaica. Luckily the resort helps you with most vendors such as food and photography. Although some brides choose outside vendors. We don't want to pay that $450 vendor fee on top of the regular vendor cost.

I am currently working on DIY wedding decor which I am going to bring with me, since the resort we chose is very expensive with their decor. I am also doing silk flower bouquets from Wedideas on Etsy. They look so real. Plus I'll be able to keep my bouquet as a keepsake!
