Austin Bachelorette: Thurs-sun or Fri-mon?

Hi all! I’m planning my bachelorette party for 8 girls (all flying in so lose some time) in early May. For those who live or have been there, would you recommend going Thursday- Sunday or Friday - Monday?


I’m leaning toward Friday to Monday since I have a couple friends who wouldn’t be able to come until Friday night anyway, and I heard Sundays there’s a lot to do. Is that true?
If Thurs-Sun, we’d probably only have Thurs night and then have to leave Sunday morning. If Fri- Mon, we’d have Friday afternoon for those who can come by then, and all of Sunday to go out. Thoughts?

    I haven’t been to Austin but in terms of Bachelorette parties in general- I just had mine this weekend. We all arrived at different times but having Friday, all day Saturday, and part of Sunday before flying back mid-day felt like the perfect amount of time, if not plenty.

    I live in Austin and can vouch that “Sunday Funday” is big here, so Friday to Monday would work great!

    I think this all depends on what kind of bachelorette you're looking to have! I don't live in Austin, but we had my bachelorette there and it was SO. FUN. Smiley smile

    While we definitely hit up a variety of speakeasy, honkytonk, and club style bars in the evenings, there is SO much to do during the day as well - voodoo donuts/walking around town, float/tube down the river, visit ladybird lake and lots of outdoor trails, we booked a private yoga class (also can find spin, Zumba, cooking, etc any kind of class you want! lol)

    I love the idea of everyone getting in sometime on Friday with enough time to still go out in the evening, and then have a full weekend and everyone go when they need to on Monday Smiley smile

    I'd ask your ladies and see what works better for them! For me and my work schedule (and my husband's), we prefer Thursday-Sunday weekends or Friday-Sunday. Mondays we are always in meetings, on conference calls, or just busy. We went to Austin recently, and there were some brunches on Sunday but nothing crazy!

    My H was in Austin for his bach and he went Thursday - Sunday, he did tell me he wished he had stayed the whole day Sunday because there was so much to do there on Sunday that they missed - which makes me happy because he will want to go back with me LOL!
