Average costs for an wedding officiant in MA?

Daisy, on August 28, 2016 at 8:22 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

I don't know anyone personally who I would want to officiate our wedding so I'm trying to get an idea of how much officiants cost in MA. I would prefer non-denominational/justice of the peace. Any specific recommendations are welcome!

We are north of Boston and were wetting quotes anywhere from $100-$500 depending on a few factors like # of guests day of week time etc

300-700.00 depending on talent, your desire for personalization and experience.

Ooops, not MA, but Maine that allows Notaries to officiate.

I believe MA is one of the few states that allow their Notaries to officiate weddings, so you should not have a problem finding an officiant. Check the Vendors tab and do a search for your area.

I'm from MA but getting married in NH. Our officiant charges $450, but she's part of my contract with my DJ who works all over NE. So I would assume she'd charge the same for a wedding in MA.

Hi so an officiant can get expensive but, depending on how personal you are, Massachusetts has a one day rule!so if you know your wedding date and you don't mind having a friend or family member officiating you can get a certificate for them for a one day ceremony license to marry you.i think it's 55$ to get it.tge information can't be changed and it gas to be submitted 6 months ahead of time so this is for those ahead of time wedding planners..but someone just told me about it..I'm from right in downtown Boston I'm looking too..I looked it up it's light..so I guess go for it if your ok with it..some people don't want their wedding that personalized.but some want to save the dollars! Good luck!!
