I’m planning my wedding for June of next year. The pictures attached are just some inspiration of with I would like my reception to look like. I don’t know a lot about floral arrangements and costs but I would like to know how much would you think something like this we would cost?

Unfortunately, this can really vary depending on how many flowers are used, if the flowers are in season at the time, your location, and the florist's experience. Your best bet is going to be to get quotes from florists in your area.

    I agree with Veronica's response.

We're spending $955 for all of our florals, but we also went with a girl who's new to the business (2 years experience at the most). A lot of times you can get better pricing with newer vendors because they haven't fully nailed down their pricing list. Our florals will be very simple and minimal, but something that costs us less that $1k would've cost us over $2k with the other vendors I inquired with. (we're located in central GA)

I will also say that what I've discovered is that centerpieces like the ones you have pictured tend to be pretty pricey per piece, unless you decide to DIY them yourself. It's not just the cost of the flowers you have to think about, it's also the extra materials needed (vases, crystals, other details).

Unfortunately, there is really no way to ballpark the cost of florals. There are just too many variables that go into it. The prices differ drastically just based on where you live. Then you also have to take into account what types of flowers you want, whether they are in season, or whether they will need to be flown in for your wedding. Florists costs vary greatly as well (for example, are they a reputable florist that has done a lot of high end weddings? Do they deal mainly in mid-cost weddings? Are they brand new to the profession? Have they done huge, intricate pieces? Or have they only done standard bouquets and centerpieces? Are they formally trained, or self-taught? Etc, etc.) To put it into perspective, our florals are costing over $10k. But to have had the exact same thing done in NYC (instead of the Midwest) it would have cost $17k. Your best bet is to reach out to some florists in your area and email them your inspiration pictures and request a quote.

I'm asking for something kind of similar, but more greenery and less florals. Depending on flowers used and height of the centerpieces and such I've been quoted from 150-390 per centerpiece. I also am getting married in the heart of a major city, so depending on your area it could be less.

You really just have to talk to a few florists to figure it out!

Something like that would be very pricey through a florist but you could easily diy (especially top photo) if you buy vases at Dollar store or efavormart.com and order white stock flowers through Fifty Flowers.com for a quarter of the price you'd pay a florist.

Yeah I’m located in the DMV area so something like this definitely seems pricey. But I love the idea of possible diy

We went a florist who worked on my sister's wedding as well. I provided her the vision, which was mostly greenery, whites and beiges. Since I was pretty open to differing florals and greenery, it helped adjust the budget, If you have flexibility with the type (ex. aren't set on hydrangeas only, but are open to flowers like it) your florist might be able to offer suggestions to lower your cost.

Yeah, it's really hard to say. When I was in the beginning stages of planning I was quoted $7000 from one florist and $3000 from an other for the same thing. Call around and get some quotes.

I'm in Northern VA and this was the inspiration pic I provided which is kind of similar to your second picture. I'm paying $190 per centerpiece plus $10 to rent each of the trumpet vases. Prices truly vary a lot so shop around!
